Yes - doctors will give you the right advice. Teachers will guide you in the right direction. Trainers will put you on the path to success. Mentors will shorten the curve for your success.
But no one will do your push ups for you. The only person who is responsible for the work to change your life is you.
Seek advice. But put in the work.

That habit. That person. That activity. That thought. That job. That marriage. That diet. That weight. That thing.
You know that thing.
Things are either adding to your life - or taking away from it. It add values or removes it. It gives you time or waste it. It grows you or it takes you back. It moves you forward, or it doesn’t.
If it doesn’t move you forward - it has to go. You need to be moving forward all the time.
Remove those things from your life that doesn’t add to it and watch your life soar. You will fly high because you aren’t weighed down.
Go fly high.

Go ahead. Indulge. Enjoy the living daylights out of that ice cream. Be in the moment.
Getting healthy isn’t about deprivation. It isn’t restricting yourself to kale and wheatgrass for the rest of your life. It doesn’t mean you have to run a marathon, do CrossFit, and never have ice cream again.
Eat the ice cream - but just not as much.
That one ice cream cone while at the zoo with your kids - that doesn’t make you overweight. A pint a night for 10 years? That does.
If you look back at the habits that are causing you to be sick and tired - they are the bad habits you do consistently - not the habits you think are bad that you do occasionally.
It isn’t the one or two beers with the boys - it’s the 12 pk per night over the weekend. It isn’t the slice of pizza on a Friday night with the family - it’s years of self indulgence. It isn’t that one work out you missed - it’s the lack of any sort of physical activity on your life. It isn’t the ice cream at the zoo with your boys.
Eat the ice cream. Enjoy the ice cream. Be the ice cream. But then get back into the habits to get results.

We all have 2 lives to live. The second one starts when you truly realize there is only one.
One life. And you aren’t even promised a full one at that.
So why the f**k are you acting like you have all the time in the world. You literally could die right now. Tonight. Tomorrow morning. Who knows - no one does. So get off your heels and start attacking the things you want to do in life.
If you keep your mortality top of mind, it will start dictating that things and decisions you do in your life - in the best way.
Next time you’re thinking about whether you should or shouldn’t do something ask yourself: If I die tomorrow - will I regret this? Trust that answer.
Go live. Every moment you can. Because someday - the moments will be gone.

So many people want that quick fix, that easy solution. Just the last few weeks watching people pour money into and stock thinking it’s a retirement plan when they have no idea what they are doing - but a Reddit guy once said...
End that bullsh*t now. There is no quick fix. There is no magic stock. No magic pill. No magic powder.
What to know where the magic is? It’s work. It’s discipline. It’s doing the boring s**t knowing that it will get you where you need to go.
Yes, walking everyday isn’t as sexy as your peloton - but 365 days of walking beats the s**t out of 2 weeks on a peloton. Sleeping 8 hours every night is better than that next Netflix episode. Leaving your phone in the other room is better than that one more Instagram scroll that triggers your fomo.
Yes - that shiny sexy nickel is cool to talk about. But that dull quarter has more value.
Keep it simple. Find your dull quarter.

If there was ever a time to reset your 2021 goals - today is the day. Monday. New month.
Most fail after the first week. Where are you at?
Aren’t there? Good.
Get up. Dust off. Reload. Re-calibrate. Re-engage. And go out on the attack.
Just because you lost one battle doesn’t mean you lost the war. No more.
No more quitting. No more next year. No more tomorrow. Get back in the fight. Today.
You don’t have to be perfect. In fact I don’t want you to be perfect. Fail. Fail hard. Learn. Grow. Get back in the fight.
Failure is part of life. Quitting isn’t.
Get back at it.
