You don’t burn out because you’re incapable.
You burn out because you keep trying to power through with anxiety.

If you’re an anxious ADHD girlie, you probably:
• start in panic
• push in perfectionism
• skip transitions
• shame yourself when your brain stalls

And then wonder why you’re exhausted. 🙋🏼‍♀️

Instead, try:
✨ Soft Starts
✨ Tiny Starts
✨ Good-Enough Mode
✨ Externalizing Shame

Burnout decreases when your nervous system feels safer.
Productivity works better when it isn’t powered by fear.

You don’t need more discipline.
You need regulation, realistic effort, and less self-attack.

Save this for the next time your brain says
“Do more or you’re failing.”

And if you’re ready to stop white-knuckling your way through life — I’m currently accepting new clients for in-person sessions in San Diego and secure remote therapy throughout California.

Anxious ADHD girlies aren’t broken, dramatic, or “not trying hard enough.”
Their nervous systems are doing their best to keep them safe.

When we stop treating anxiety and ADHD as separate problems and start supporting regulation first, everything shifts.
✨ This is why body-based, somatic work matters.

If this hit close to home, you’re not alone.
And if you’re ready for support that actually fits your (or your teen’s) nervous system, you can book a consult through the link in my bio

Therapist take: if you’re an ADHD girlie, forcing yourself into stillness first thing in the morning is the opposite of working with what your brain wiring needs.

Your nervous system doesn’t need quiet… it needs movement.

Somatic movement (think gentle stretching, shaking, walking, body scans in motion) gives your brain a way to discharge energy, settle your system, and actually arrive in your body — way more effective than trying to meditate while your thoughts are running a million miles a minute.

If you’re looking for intention connection with yourself in the morning- & meditation feels impossible, you’re not broken.
You’re just wired for regulation through motion first.

✨ Try this instead tomorrow:
– 2 minutes of shaking or stretching
– 3 deep breaths with hands on your chest
– a short walk or sway while setting your intention

Then see how your body feels.

And if you’re tired of white-knuckling your way through anxiety + ADHD mornings — I help teens & adults learn nervous-system-friendly tools that actually work.

ADHD girlies in 2026 aren’t trying harder.
They’re getting smarter about their nervous systems.

✨ Less self-shame.
✨ More environment support.
✨ Fewer “perfect routines.”
✨ More anchor habits that actually stick.

This year isn’t about becoming a different version of you.
It’s about building a life that works with your brain.

Which shift are you already making?
Which one do you want to try next?

👇 save this for later — your future self will thank you.

If you’ve ever thought “Why is this so hard for me?” — you’re not alone.

Executive functioning impacts:
• planning
• follow-through
• emotional regulation
• starting (and finishing) tasks

And it’s one of the most common challenges I see in therapy — especially for adults with ADHD, anxiety, or chronic overwhelm.

The good news?
These skills can be supported, strengthened, and practiced — without shame.

👉 If this resonates, book a therapy consult through the link in my bio.
