My morning green smoothie! If you are gagging at the thought of 4 cups of kale in the morning start with 1 cup of kale and a more palatable green like Spinach!🤣
Anuway green smoothie

Blend the following in your vitamix
*4 cups kale
1/2 banana
*1 cup blueberries ( frozen or fresh)
*Small piece of ginger
*Spices( cinnamon,cardamom, pumpkin spice or vanilla)
*2 tbsp anuway sludge or ground flaxseeds
*Cilantro or mint a few sprigs
*1/2 cup almond milk
*1 cup cold alkaline water
*Few ice cubes
*Top with chopped walnuts and sunflower seeds for some crunch !

Whats your type on the Bristol chart?
If your diet is meat or zeo carbohydrates heavy how are you addressing the roughage the intestines require to function properly ?
Roughage is mainly fibers of plant origin. These fibers play no nutritional role as the body cannot digest and absorb them but they are so so important to get you eliminating!
Easy Elimination =Veggies+Fruits+Grains+Beans+ Oleaginous foods!!
Start your day with an oleaginous food like flax seeds and Chia!
Always wash it down with adequate amount of water!!

We can all afford a salad ?
We can all afford beans?
We can all afford some starchy veggies?
We can all afford nuts and seeds?
We can all afford the 12 daily staples!

1. A few servings of VEGGIES
2. A few servings of FRUITS
3. A good amount of FIBER from food
4. A good serving of plant based FATS
5. A couple of servings of NUTS and SEEDS.
Start here.
Be kind to yourself. Its not important where you are in the spectrum of including plant based foods in your diet.Take baby steps. We don't all have to be Tom Brady about our diet!!

My go to soup to break a fast. Easy to digest!! Infact its the first solid food Indian mothers feed their babies!
INGREDIENTS
Split mung beans 2 cups
Water 5 cups
Garlic 2 tbsp crushed and let it sit in olive oil until readyto use.
Onion 1 chopped fine
Ginger 2 tsp
Black pepper1 tsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Turmeric 1tsp
Cilantro 1/2 cup finely chopped
Method
1.In a medium size bowl add the mung beans.Wash thoroughly. Add boiling water and let it soak for 10-20 minutes.. Drain after the 20 minutes.
2.In a medium saucepan add 4 cups of water and bring to boil. Add the rinsed and soaked lentils. Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes until they are soft and mushy. Add more water if necessary.
3.OF: If you are making this O F roast all the spices on low heat separately and put them aside.
4.Heat 1 tsp of coconut oil and add the spices. Roast until you can smell the aroma of the spices.Remove and crush slightly with a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder( if you don't want to be bothered with this substitute with ground black pepper and cumin. Add the crushed garlic, ginger and onion. Cook for a few minutes until the onion is translucent . Add the chopped tomatoes and lemon juice. Stir the whole mixture into the cooked lentils and simmer on low heat for 2 minutes.
5.Add the remaining 1 cup of water.
6.Add salt to taste and and mix well.
7.Garnish with the chopped cilantro and mint.

Plant Power!Macadamia nuts are high in food fats especially monounsaturated fats like oleic acid . They are not only healthy but super creamy and tasty as a mylk .
