ENJOY your JOURNEY✨ The secret of being happy is accepting where you are in life and making the most out of everyday.

It doesn't matter how old we are, what we've done, or how much money we have. Our journey is a personal one-full of lessons and reasons to be HAPPY. When we stop comparing ourselves to others and realize how full our lives are, we can appreciate our individual value.

It's important to value the journey, wherever you are in life. Here are some ways to be satisfied-happy, even-with how things are unfolding:

✨Show gratitude. Find something every single day that you're thankful for. Big or small, it all matters. Tell people how much you appreciate them.

✨Be committed. Set your goals and stick with them. They made need some adjusting along the way, but you'll keep your eye on the prize.

✨Cherish your friends. Be around people who love you, not your success. Nurture you relationships and be a true friend without judgment.

✨Keep on learning. The world is changing rapidly. Whatever your interests, continue to follow them. Or, tackle something new!

✨Don't multitask. Trying to do more than one thing at once causes burnout and keeps you from focusing on the present.

✨Balance your life. Easier said than done, but essential. You can't enjoy your age and stage unless you can leave work behind sometimes.

✨Make family first. Spend time with your family and kids. Go to games and performances. Nothing says I love you more than taking the time to be involved in their lives.

✨Take time to travel. It opens your mind, makes you more tolerant, and helps you appreciate what you have at home.

Discipline is the number one trait needed to create a happy mood, and healthy and meaningful life. It allows you to benefit from consistent, daily action towards the achievement of your goals and dreams.

Self discipline is nothing more than having inner strength and control of yourself, your actions, and your reactions. It is what gives you the ability to follow through your decisions, without changing your mind.

Benefits of drinking water

Water keeps every system in the body functioning properly. The Harvard Medical School Special Health Report 6-Week Plan for Health Eating notes that water has many important jobs, such as:

carrying nutrients and oxygen to your cells

flushing bacteria from your bladder

aiding digestion

preventing constipation

normalizing blood pressure

stabilizing the heartbeat

cushioning joints

protecting organs and tissues

regulating body temperature

maintaining electrolyte (sodium) balance.

Giving your body enough fluids to carry out those tasks means that you're staying hydrated.

If you don't drink enough water each day, you risk becoming dehydrated. Warning signs of dehydration include weakness, low blood pressure, dizziness, confusion, or urine that's dark in color.

So how much water should you drink? Most people need about four to six cups of water each day.

FOAM ROLLING: That hurts-so-good muscle recovery must-do that you either hate to love or love to hate. No matter how you feel about it, you've probably turned to a foam roller a time or two to relieve some nagging muscle pain that just won't go away.

How much do you really know about foam rolling?

"Foam rolling is a type of soft tissue work that's more formally called myofascial release, and it can help alleviate muscle pain and tension caused by adhesions that can form between your muscle and your fascia," says Leanne Wonesh, athletic trainer at Houston Methodist. "Often, these adhesions, called myofascial adhesion, are a large contributing factor to painful muscle knots."

Use your foam roller right after your workout — before stretching.

Be sure to foam roll the muscle groups you used during your workout, as well as the ones above and below these muscle groups.

Foam roll each muscle group for about one minute, making sure not to exceed two minutes on a particular muscle group.

As you're foam rolling, make sure the muscle you're targeting is extended and in a stretch.

Your pace while foam rolling matters less than making sure you're rolling through the entire muscle.
