Our post has been seen by over 2,000 people. We would love if you shared our post. I know the thought of donating a kidney seems like a scary thing. Did you know that we only need 1 kidney? The transplant team does full medical workup to make sure your not at risk of kidney failure. You could help save someone life! Dialysis is exhausting mentally and physically. My dad is young and has so much life left to live.
🚨🚨🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP🚨🚨🚨
Please read and share!!! 💚💚💚
This journey already has been quite an emotional roller coaster. A few months ago we requested for my dad (Timothy Sorgini) to be evaluated at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Unlike here in San Diego Mayo Clinic waitlist and how quick they move is faster then here. We received good news last week that they are accepting applications for kidney donation. With Timothy's kidney function declining we hope to get this process started as soon as possible.
Things to know:
It begins with an online application and heath screener. This doesn't mean your committed to donate. Unfortunately a lot of people won't be a match so we need as many as we can.
Yes you would have to come out to Arizona for the transplant, but it's just a few day stay. (Trip will be paid for)
Yes you can live with just 1 kidney, and if anything happened in the future and you needed a Kidney you would be bumped to the top of the list instead of a 7 year wait.
Please make sure when applying you provide my dad's name sorgini and his DOB 06/23/1964
