I recently got to paint this mural for my friend Killian’s vet practice in Philly, and it’s her second clinic!! Killian and I actually went to high school together, so getting to collaborate years later as two women running our own businesses was super cool.

Even better, I brought and onto the project to help paint, so the whole thing turned into a full women-powered mural crew. 🫶

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. Supporting other women, building cool things together, and watching each other grow is just the best.

This snake was a fun one to paint. Detailed and time consuming but got into the flow state while going in on those spots. Big thanks to Good Look, Babe Salon for having us ✨💕

And I did in fact screw up on this wall 🤪

After letting it dry, I decided my darker green color was too dark so I had to go back to the paint store to choose a lighter one. Annoying but just a little hiccup. An additional hour of painting and it looked so much better after painting over!

Moral of the story- nothing is permanent and you can fix it with an extra coat of paint ✨

I’ve been in the trenches... like refreshing my inbox, wondering where the next project is coming from. Andthat’s exactly why i’m such a big believer in cold emailing. It’s not glamorous, it’s not instant, but it WORKS.

Here are my forever takes:

RFQs are great… but you’re a small fish in a very big pond.
Apply to them, yes. But don’t rely on them. You’re competing against dozens (sometimes hundreds) of artists.

Cold emailing is a numbers game.
it’s not instant gratification. You might hear crickets for weeks. but then one email hits… and it turns into a project, a relationship, or a repeat client.

It’s all about the follow-up.
Most people aren’t ignoring you…they’re busy. The magic is in checking back in. (respectfully, persistently, professionally)

Most people don’t know where to find artists.
You think they’re out here searching… they’re not. You have to introduce yourself and make it easy for them to say yes.

Every other industry does cold outreach, so why shouldn’t we?
It’s not cringe. It’s business!

Cold emailing took me from “hoping someone finds me on instagram” to landing real, paying projects. Social media is great, but it’s not the only tool in your toolbox.

Painted these wooden panels for the charity event tomorrow 🎨

All proceeds go to here in San Diego, so every piece was created with a really good cause in mind 💞

It’s been a while since I’ve made a collection. So much of my work is client-driven, which I love but this felt really fun. I leaned into bright colors, playful compositions, and subjects that genuinely make me happy. My hope is that whoever takes one of these home feels that same joy every time they look at it!

Fully locked in on this one. 18 hours of painting!

There’s something about hitting that flow state where everything else disappears and it’s just you and the wall.

So proud of how this one turned out, especially getting to paint it for Feeding San Diego 🤍
