Bottles.

So 3 months ago this was $53.46.

Now it’s $161.46.

CRAZY!!!!

Clearly prices went up on products in pump bottles. But it also created a magical refill option.

How does that work?

You order a double refill. You keep your current pump bottle. When you are running low your order a refill. It comes in a mason jar with 2 refills.

Once you put the 2nd refill you order your next and return the mason jar.

That thing is WAY easier to sanitize!

Innovation becomes necessary. Not revolutionary innovation, but still.

What’s up Wednesday.

Let’s talk copper.

25 years ago I invested in stainless lined copper pans. I use those or cast iron. The heat conductivity of copper is awesome.

Years ago I added copper countertops to my kitchen. Like over 20 years.

About a year and a half ago I snagged us copper water bottles.

October and November I search for copper mugs because one of my girls wanted one and couldn’t find an all copper. Found them, not the favored shape, but actual copper. So I got her those for Christmas.

Copper is a pretty powerful thing. Like so many other powerful things, some people try to erase the amazing impact.

So today I am here to remind you… copper it up!

Let’s talk food again!

That was not my plan for today’s post. But I’ll be honest I am getting back into my food prep ways.

The last two years have had a variety of challenges, but my mind and my body is finally getting back on track and I’m able to execute some of my norms versus strictly survival.

I decided it would be banana snack time, and I took some bananas, sliced and halved them. I tossed them in my freeze dryer to just freeze overnight. Then I gave the sliced bananas a little peanut butter rub. Back in the freezer.

After an hour and a half, I pulled one out and did the obligatory taste test and let me tell you… So good!

Now I have a bunch of peanut butter smeared, frozen bananas, and bananas on a stick in my freezer. Any idea what’s gonna happen next?

For breakfast, I sliced up some strawberries and they were so delicious. I thought a little bit of my homemade granola would be perfect with them.

So I decided to share this info with you guys because homemade food is really so much better! And I think maybe I’ll start doing a feature once a month where I include a recipe that I use honey in. Would you like that?

Yard ingredients.

Do you grow things?

For well over a decade I have tried growing so much stuff. When I brought a new soul into the world I thought it was so important to teach him the value of growing food.

So… we grow stuff.

The chickens have brought some obstacles because those girls are savage!!! But we will just shift this years growing.

I picked these beauties the other morning and cut them up for part of before baseball breakfast.

Then I took the rind, added it to a freeze dryer tray. Sliced up a few lemons from my tree and started a run.

The lemons will go into simmer sacks and these oranges will probably turn to powder for soap. Maybe a cleansing body scrub.

Just stressed myself out that I again didn’t get seeds started, so gotta go!

Freeze dried candy!

Freeze dried candy sports fundraisers are coming into play over the next week.

Fresh batches of candy just hit and everyday the freeze dryer has a job to do.

If you need an easy fundraiser for your team or snack bar, send a message for the details. It’s a great one!!

If your team has the chance to pop up with a fundraiser, it’s a super easy one.

If you need a party favor option, please give at least a week lead time.

Enjoy a little sugar with the sunshine.

What’s up Wednesday.

White uniform pants. DUUUDE!

Clearly invented by someone who totally uses chemicals in their home.

His first year of baseball he was 7.5 years old and his coach asked for input on pants color based on the jersey. I said navy blue and that is what we went with.

They looked Good! And I don’t think I washed those pants all season. Just kidding, but you know what I mean.

By 8 he was in charge of his own laundry. His stance on uniform care was ‘my pants better never look perfect, that would mean I’m not doing the work’. Can’t argue with that!

Fast forward to now and homie is fast! So he’s stealing bases whenever there is room to run. That also means he is in the dirt. Those white pants!!!!

Yesterday I told him to grab all the pants and I busted out the pressure washer. It did amazing things. But still got some funk. Most important part was we had a hilariously funny time!

Whatcha using on pants. I don’t love bleach obviously…. Plus some of the pants have the side stripe so we need to keep that color intact.

If you have some secret non toxic way to keep them looking good, share it up. We did come across a new pair and I told him to not wear those til picture day and then game on.

But yeah, share the white pants love if you have any. Because white pants are the best idea said NO MOM EVER!

Soap!

A good soap is so good.

Tell me your favorite. Do you like big bars? Little bars? Shapes? Colors? Scents? Botanicals? Salts?

Whatcha love????

I like a hand sized bar. With an exfoliant like oatmeal or poppy seed. Lemongrass- my favorite everything. Peppermint. No scent.

Or a shape soap. What’s funny is bars I rub in my hands then on my body. Shape soaps I rub directly into my skin.

I use them til they are slivered then I toss into a soap bag.

Wild right! Our brains create different scenario’s for the same product based on how it looks.

I start new soap production next week and I have some great things in store.

Pro tip… this years holiday season will be an amazing time to decorate with shape soaps next to all of your sinks and to give shape soap gifts.

So make a mental note or pop it in your datebook to come see me starting in September to shape soap all things fall through winter!

But don’t worry, there will be plenty of fun soaps all year long.

Magnesium butter

Some of you asked for so long!!! Finally about a year ago I started making it for you.

Here is the thing. Mag oil is still better! That direct transdermal absorption. But, for those of you who just won’t use the mag oil… heck yeah, use the butter.

The bottom line is getting some names into your system is better than just not getting any in there at all.

This new batch of msg butter will hit the stores at the end of the week. The HomeShed will be restocked. You will be good to go!

Look for it in the fridge and the HomeShed
