A week full of gift sets… day 2!

A couple of easy options.

A week full of gift sets… day 1!

These are each $20 and cute, practical gifts.
•
They are NOT interchangeable!!!
•
Top shelf holds a jar full of shower steamers. These lavender wintergreen steamers help keep your sinuses clear as we enter this system taxing holiday time.
•
Some are bigger because, let’s face it…. Cute. Some are smaller. So the big ones can be cut in 1/2 or 1/3 and just drop one section of it on the shower floor once you hop in. That wintergreen with help your air flow.

Here is my go to if we are feeling anything from a tickle in the throat to an itchy nose. 2 drops of hydrogen peroxide in each ear. It will travel and fight off whatever might be trying to get you. If we do it right away, the attack doesn’t get us.

It’s a fork
•
Not just any fork.
•
This is one of the few utensils I have left from my parents silverware set when they got married.
•
Yesterday I met up with Michelle from to hand this one over.
•
She has been my neighbor a handful of times. I’ve always looked at her beautiful creations from watercolor, to ornaments, to jewelry and appreciated her talents.
•
But last month her wrap around rings hit different.
•
They kept hitting even after I was home. So I sent her a photo and asked if she thought she could make a wrap around and she said yes.
•
So here we go to trying it!
•
She was excited to take something that started with my parents marriage and thus in turn my creation and turn it into something that I can have with me in a different way.
•
She also said she will send progress pics!
•
As I type this with teary eyes I want to remind you to re-visit vendor booths you see all the time. Things may speak to you differently. Ask questions, because creativity comes in all forms. Never be afraid of sentimentality.
•
If you have something like this, I encourage you to think about having a keepsake made. Michelle will be my neighbor in December. She can custom a piece for you.
•
If jewelry isn’t your thing… she makes these super awesome angel ornaments with a round crystal and a piece of the utensil handle. If you look back at my post from November’s barn sale I know I shared an image.

As we head into this season of gift giving, keep in mind the personal, sentimental, and specific gifts can be awesome.

I have some CUTE holiday gifts this season. Tune in next week and each day I’ll share some.

But today is the bath salt ornament. A generous amount of bath salt in a cute ornament. At just $9 is a practical and affordable gift or gift add on.

Is it important to shop small? Well I clearly think YES!!!!
•
But here is a stat. If every adult diverted just $40 from a big box store or Amazon gift to a small business purchase, that would be almost $10.5 billion dollars going into small business.
•
Kind of a big deal!
•
You know this is how I pay my bills, how my boy gets to do what he does, how I feed our animals and pay my mortgage.
•
So the thought of 100 new people or even 500 new people spending just $40 on a gift or stocking stuffers over the next month, kind of awesome!
•
Plus there are people like me who make it pretty easy to shop.
•
Like today. Honey fundraiser from 1230-1
is doing a quick pop up from 12-1 tomorrow.
My HomeShed will be open from 9am-7pm Friday-Sunday and next week you’ll get Decembers Schedule.
•
Gave you lots of brain data there with those numbers but it’s cold out here in San Diego… it’s good blood flow exercise to start the day.

What’s up Wednesday.
•
The chickens have started doing their thing!!!!
•
4 of our 5 have started laying and we are so excited.
•
They are delicious.
•
We had a smoothie on the way to baseball (ice, 2 raw eggs, 2 juiced oranges, 1 banana) and I asked if he thought they were so good because they were so fresh and he said “I think it’s because we have so much joy about the chickens”
•
Agreed and excited to keep feeding these girls like the egg queens they are.

Not to mention, we bail on our hand care quite frequently. The body workhorses an hands, feet, eyes. So let’s do what we can to keep them lovely.

Look for a set that will include a hand scrub AND a hand cream. Let’s really love those babies right up.

Saturdays event

This is happening.
•
Rain or shine.
•
If there is shine you will find me outside of the big building. If there is rain, we are all getting moved under the classroom hallways.
•
But this event is getting back to its pre-covid awesome status. So I hope to see you there.

What’s up Wednesday.
•
My favorite song and my favorite person.
•
I have a friend that I’ve known since middle school. We have had moments of big connections in life so that we will always be friends, even when life is so busy.
•
A couple of months ago our kids played each other so we spent some field time together.
•
It’s always fun when you spend time with those who know you so well from back in the day, because it’s like you know each others souls vs all the stuff life has brought.
•
Over the years he has said it to me a handful of times… ‘your boy, he is you. You can see his heart come through and he got it all from you’.
•
Such a lovely thing to hear. I totally know it! But of course I’ll see some of his dad pop through at different times.
•
But last week we did a field trip that I pre-covid would take him on every year. As we sat inside, something we have never done, we were able to listen to all the things San Diego and talk about everything.
•
I snapped this pic during a convo (I’m pretty funny sometime 😉) and when I looked at it I saw exactly what my friend has told me through the years.
•
He is me!
•
Such a reminder that as parents our greatest mission is to gift our good to our children.
•
We see in society so much bad gifted. But let’s remember to gift the good. If we give it to them, they may just take it and make it their own and I think that is a big part of the point.
