Hear from the program director about application requirements, program details, and how to prepare a competitive application. Past fellows will also be present to share their experiences and provide tips for success.

SDCBA Diversity Fellowship Program provides diverse, first year law students the opportunity to work at San Diego law firms and corporate legal departments during the summer months after their first year. The Program seeks to close the diversity gap in the legal profession by increasing the number of diverse lawyers practicing in San Diego County law firms and corporate legal departments. The paid fellowship provides students the opportunity to learn and develop skills necessary to succeed in the legal professional while also introducing law firms and legal departments to qualified individuals for potential recruiting purposes.

Fall Recruiting, also known as OCI, is a program that occurs at the end of this summer for rising 2L, 2LE, 3L, 3LE and 4LE students. It is the most efficient (and in some cases the only) way to apply for (1) spring 2020 internships with DA, PD, US Attorney, CA Attorney General, judges, corporations, and public interest organizations; (2) summer 2020 summer associate positions with large national law firms, law clerk positions with small to mid-sized firms, and summer internships with governmental organizations; and (3) select post-graduate positions with firms and government agencies.
