In , the winter is associated with the Kidneys, the water element, and relates to the bones and ears. The color is black and environment is cold, but we know that.🥶 This time of the year is the best time to tonify and restore the kidney energy.⠀

Here’s how to live in harmony with winter ❄️ :⠀
🛌Rest. The holidays can bring stress and chaos, so it’s especially important to rest and recover. Take advantage of the long night!!⠀
🍲🍜Eat foods that are in season-squash and root vegetables-and utilize slower cooking techniques. This is bone broth season if there was one!! Most black foods nourish the kidneys-black beans, lentils, seaweed, etc. Miso in moderation can be good as salt is the flavor of the kidneys. However, too much salt insults the kidneys. Roasted nuts-especially cashew and walnuts.⠀
🛷⛷🏂Enjoy the winter weather if that sounds good, get a little sunshine.⠀
