Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) affect 1 in 5 mothers, and 1 in 10 fathers, making these medical conditions the most common complications of childbirth. They often go under-recognized, undiagnosed, untreated (though highly treatable), and can cause long term complications for mothers, children, and families as a whole.

In the wake of the recent FDA approval of zuranolone, I was asked to share a bit about my own journey with PPA/PPD with ABC 30 Action News HD and how the new “postpartum depression pill” is groundbreaking in the perinatal mental health field, and will be life changing for families.🤍

I am proud to be a voice for many mothers who feel shame, guilt, and embarrassment around their own experience with PMADs, and hope with more education, awareness, and policy change around perinatal mental health, we can reduce the stigma around such clinical diagnoses and connect patients with appropriate treatment plans.

A drug designed to treat postpartum depression will soon be available to women.

Traveling with babies can be rough, especially when it comes to sleeping arrangements once your little one is old enough to know you’re in the same room. Check out the SlumberPod if you’re a family on the go, who appreciates sleep!

Sleep Consulting Services

My approach to sleep training is tailored to each family with whom I work, meeting them exactly where they are in their journey. I develop detailed, customized plans with which I offer unlimited support via text/email/phone to help each family reach their sleep goals. I realize each baby has unique needs, as does the family, so the plans I develop are unique to each baby and family. I walk alongside families during the time they need the most support, encourage parents, and help them find a rhythm that works best with their baby and lifestyle. As a mom of three little ones under the age of 7, I understand the importance of sleep and am dedicated to helping families find the best way to achieve that, however that looks for them.
