🐾 🧘🏼‍♂️ People who love yoga, love dogs or maybe it's people who love dogs, love yoga! 🧘🏼‍♂️🐾

Ninety percent of my clients have dogs! I arrived at a clients on Sunday to this fun little mat. It is very true, because everytime I walk in that door, I am greeted by three very happy pups. This is often the case when I arrive at client's homes. I decided to investigate to see if there was any real connection.

Here's what I've learned:

There is a significant overlap between the dog lover community and the yoga lover community. Probably why dog yoga was born.

💜 Shared values: Both dogs and yoga are associated with love, companionship, mindfulness, and finding joy in simple things.

💜 Emotional connection: Dogs are sensitive to their owner's emotions, and a calm, focused yoga practice can transfer positive energy to the dog.

💜 Physical activity: Practicing yoga with a dog can be a fun and bonding way to get some physical exercise. Dogs loe to be a part of it even if it's not officially dog yoga.

💜 Relaxation: The combination of a calming yoga environment and the comfort of a dog can be very relaxing for humans

I had a great session this week with a long time client. We have a weekly yoga session and a bi weekly thai yoga/assisted stretching session. This time we did a bit of both.

It is always great to receive texts of gratitude and appreciation for the work I do. I love knowing that my clients feel great after our sessions! It keeps going with this work and my commitment to help others feel good in their bodies no matter the circumstances of life.
