💥Common Distortion Patterns 1/3. Distortion patterns are caused by muscle imbalances.
☝🏽Lower Crossed syndrome, LCS (aka. Instagram 🍑), is a postural postural distortion syndrome characterized by an anterior tilt to the pelvis (arched lower back). It’s caused by tight (overactive) soleus, hip flexors, erector spinae and biceps femoris. And then the weakness (underactive) of glutes and abdominal. Overactive muscles needs to be stretched out and underactive needs to be activated and make stronger.
Left picture = healthy posture, right picture = unhealthy posture. And I also wanted to show you some corrective exercises to fix your lower cross. .
I honestly had a pretty bad lower cross, when I was practicing posing for my bikini show. I’ve been working on it and wanted to fix it, cause it sometimes caused me lower back pain. It takes time but my posture is a lot better than what it was like 7 months ago!😊
Fun fact, DID YOU KNOW!!⚡️: 80% of U.S. adults have lower back pain! Crazy, right!
