As a nutritionist, I don't like to make diets to people to lose weight just because they want to look good or fit in a dress.
Also, most of the people who goes on diets (whatever trendy diet is on the market nowdays) end up gaining the weight back within a few years, because of our neuron and hormones system.
Many, MANY times we lose the point of nutrition, is as simple as STAY HEALTHY at whatever weight you are holding.
It is true that there are more risks for other health issues (Cardiovascular, diabetes, heart attack...) when you are overweight or obese, but as long as you are keeping healthy habits, the weight is not really important.
I was a chobby kid, and that's how I started my journey in this field, I was obsessed with diets when I was studying nutrition, it really affected me the comments of people about it...but overtime, I learnt to not care anymore about it, that what it is important its just to be happy and able to stay active (this I learnt with lots of body pain last year).
So....for all that people obsessed with their looks (and I include myself a bit too), life is too short for caring about this, is unnecessary suffering to be on a diet, stay happy and healthy!!!
Maybe itβs time to rethink the way we see being fat.
