Advocates for Angels

Advocates for Angels We represent, train and coach frustrated parents to learn how to protect the rights of their child.

Valerie runs a special education advocacy agency and training academy, dedicated to educating a team of advocates to empower parents to become more knowledgeable, confident, and effective in working with their local school district. Valerie is an acclaimed special education advocate, challenging the status quo in special education to secure informed choice for parents and protect the rights of students under IDEA. Over the past 25 years while attending 4,000 IEP meetings, Valerie has mastered the IEP process to hold school districts accountable to ensure her clients leave high school with the skills necessary to live an independent, productive, and purposeful life. Her fierce advocacy, coaching, consulting, and innovative training programs have established her as a leading voice in the field of special education advocacy.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime~ Don’t miss it!

If you are looking to make Special Education Advocacy your career, this is the training you’ve been searching for!

I am offering a one-year training for those seeking to become a professional advocate and make special education advocacy their career.

Prerequisites for those who would qualify for this training~

Those who worked for the school district and have left their job
OR
Seasoned advocates who have been serving clients for at least 5 years

District Staff
If you are a district staff member and have decided to leave your job to become an advocate for special needs children, then this is the training you’ve been looking for!

As we continue to watch the special education system increase in non-compliance with the Ca Ed Code, more and more district staff are making the choice to leave their job and become a special education advocate.

District staff are fed up and simply cannot continue to tolerate being forced to go against their own moral compass, thus, making the choice to leave their job as a district employee.

Special Education Advocate
If you are a seasoned special education advocate and have been advocating for families for at least five years in California, you may qualify to enroll in this training.

*Please note~ Only advocates who live in California will qualify to enroll in the program.

Advocates interested in enrolling and working for Advocates 4 Angels, must have a strong understanding of the Ca Ed Code and IDEA with in-depth experience in speaking on behalf of parents in IEP meetings.

Please note* Prerequisites for all applicants require that you are a former special education district employee or an experienced and seasoned advocate serving parents for a fee for at least 5 years.

Training requirements for both groups of potential trainees:
• Training requires at least one year
• Training Fee can be made in monthly installments and must be paid in full prior to receiving an independent client caseload as a subcontractor for Advocates 4 Angels
• Serious Applicants must be interested in making special education advocacy their career moving forward
• Only applicants who live in California are eligible to apply

There is no other advocacy training out there like this one...NONE.

This type of training is unprecedented and unlike any other advocacy training program.

What makes this training program so different? This is not an “Advocacy 101 class” for someone who wants to learn the basics of Special Education law/IDEA. There is an abundance of advocacy training programs like that available. This advocacy training program is delivered in real time and provided in real life IEP meetings for clients of Advocates 4 Angels.

Advocate trainees receive a minimum of 100 hours of real-world IEP experience delivered by Valerie Aprahamian, Creator and Owner of Advocates 4 Angels.

The first half of the training, the advocate trainee will shadow Valerie Aprahamian who serves as the lead advocate during real world IEP meetings for clients of Advocates 4 Angels.

The second half of the training, Valerie shadows the advocate trainee who will serve as the lead advocate for clients of Advocates 4 Angels. Upon training completion, all advocates will have the opportunity to be allocated their own client cases as a subcontractor for Advocates 4 Angels.

Each advocate trainee will receive:
• 6-months: Advocate trainee will shadow Valerie Aprahamian as the lead advocate
• 6-months: Valerie shadows you as the lead advocate
• Upon training completion, advocates may be offered the opportunity to be allocated their own client cases under Advocates 4 Angels
• Continuous supervision and staffing on all cases both during the training as well as supporting you with your own personal client caseload.
• All advocates are subcontracted by Advocates for Angels
• All training is done virtually

Advocate trainees will receive continuous supervision and staffing on all cases with personal one-on-one training, coaching, and mentorship throughout the full year. Once the full year training is completed, you will be delegated your own client caseload and fully supported with staffing and supervision.

Anyone can call themselves a special education advocate but are they really? There is no definition or criteria for someone to call themselves a special education advocate. In reality, it is hard to find effective advocates who truly win services or have the ability to create beneficial special education programs that actually meet the unique needs of students in public school.

Advocates 4 Angels has the excellent reputation of providing successful outcomes in holding school districts accountable to awarding an IEP that truly provides a Free and Appropriate Public Education, meeting the unique needs of every client.

The Enrollment Window will be closing soon!
Don’t miss your opportunity to work as a professional advocate for Advocates 4 Angels and receive your own client caseload!

Special Education Advocacy has been my profession for 26 years, attending more than 4,000 IEP meetings for my clients. After serving as the owner and President of Advocates 4 Angels, Inc. for more than 18 years, I have decided to train a team of advocates to take over my full-time advocacy caseload. This will require me to transition from attending IEP meetings to working in a supervisory and training capacity.

Our advocacy fees are at the top of the field, delivering comprehensive and effective services, developing IEPs that truly meet every client’s individual needs.

If you believe you meet the enrollment requirements, I would love to connect with you. All who are interested in more information and would like to discuss whether you may be a potential applicant to enroll in the training program, please contact me at: vasped@sbcglobal.net

How about a law that requires oversight to hold school district's accountable to adhering to the CA Ed Code and actual criminal consequences if they are out of compliance?

I do like the "Make fair hearings fair" proposal, however, this STILL places the burden upon parents to do all the work and invest all the money to hold school districts accountable and perpetuates the value for attorneys to benefit from the broken system. So NO, there has to be a better way to create a law that will actually deliver real consequences to districts who violate IDEA.
