When we return to nature, we return to a truth deeper than the headlines, deeper than the stress, deeper than fear.

So go.
Put your bare feet on the ground.
Breathe with the trees.
Listen to the silence between the birdsong.
Let your nervous system exhale.
Let the Earth remind you: you are not alone, and you are not lost.

This connection isn’t optional. It’s essential.
And in this connection, we find hope. We find direction. We find life.

Get on top of your emails, spend more time with family, eat well, clean the house, nurture relationships—it seems there’s always something that needs doing, always someone who needs your attention. If only there was time in the day to devote to doing something for yourself, you’d jump at the chance, wouldn’t you?

Allowing ourselves to slow down can be a challenge. A negative inner commentary can insist if you’re not accomplishing something, you’re wasting time. Success today is synonomous with being busy. If no one’s around, you’ll reach for the to-do list, pick up the phone, take out the trash-anything to avoid claiming a moment to rest and relax, or engage in an activity that brings you joy.

Unconditional Love ❤️
A feeling that you don’t really have words to explain…
It’s been so hard not to have her physically here.
I’m being patient with myself and letting this process flow naturally, embracing the pain and loss.
Giving myself the time and space to feel my emotions, and sharing how I’m feeling, following all that she had taught me in this lifetime.
But sometimes when I get home I just can’t handle not having her on the other side of the door…

The use of a Japa Mala is a personal and spiritual practice, so feel free to adapt it to your beliefs and needs. It's a tool to help you focus your mind, cultivate inner peace, and deepen your connection to your chosen intention or spiritual practice.

HOW TO USE IT?

1. **Hold the Mala:** Start by holding the Mala in your right hand, draped over your middle and ring fingers, with your thumb on the guru bead (the larger central bead).

2. **Set an Intention:** Before you begin, set a positive intention, affirmation, or mantra that you'd like to focus on during your meditation or prayer.

3. **Chant or Meditate:** Begin at the guru bead and recite your chosen mantra or affirmation once, using your thumb to move to the next bead after each repetition. You can also use the Mala for meditation by focusing on your breath or a particular visualization.

4. **Avoid the Guru Bead:** When you've completed your mantra repetitions, don't pass over the guru bead. Instead, reverse direction and start again from the opposite side. This respects the sacredness of the guru bead.

5. **Continue the Practice:** Repeat the process until you've gone around the entire Mala and returned to the guru bead. You can complete your meditation or continue as many rounds as you wish.

6. **Closing the Practice:** Once you're done, gently place the Mala aside, express gratitude for your practice, and take a moment to reflect on the intention you set at the beginning.

I’ve recently been to this paradise, Lençóis Maranhenses, and I felt like sharing a little bit more about it.
While I was there so many sensations came to me, I could feel them on my skin, and they reminded me about the miracle of life, and how important is to have a physical body. So we can experience all!

Life is a gift - we just need to open our eyes and heart to the small wonders of everyday life.

Do you feel like you're constantly running on the treadmill of life? Not quite sure how to take a break or stop feeling like you always have to be 'doing' something? It's not always easy to slow down, but it turns out that slowing down is exactly what we need. Slowing down is not only good for our well-being, but it can also help us feel less stressed while accomplishing more.

Slowing down is partially about going slow. But it's more about teaching ourselves how to turn off the body's stress response, create the life we really want, and act intentionally and with purpose.

During Try Slow - a day for Being, participants will experience and create a path to achieve balance and harmony while living in often stressful environments. They will learn how to change their relationship with time and gain clarity about their priorities, intentions and goals.

9 to 12pm- Morning classes will give you an opportunity to let go of tension & explore delightful embodiment. 
12 to 2pm- At midday we will take a lunch break to relax & enjoy the gardens.
2 to 5pm- Afternoon classes will take you on a blissful, nervous system regulating journey within.
We will end the day in community with a very special sound healing & Reiki offering.

While Elka Haekel is playing the bowls and guiding a deep sleep meditation, I’ll be applying Reiki.

💫What are the benefits of this experience?
The word NIDRA means “sleep” but in this class our intention is to take you into a place of DEEP RELAXATION Yoga Nidra is a technique that restores parasympathetic balance. With consistent practice, the body can return to its natural state of balance, thereby preventing the cause of the physical symptoms at the root. “Yoga Nidra can increases serotonin levels in the brain. Listening to the CRYSTAL BOWLS each bowl connects with a chakra (points or wheels of energy in the main central channel in the body, your spine) and with the VIBRATION of the bowls it manifest as wavelengths and permeates in your body giving you a sensation of internal massage. There will be also another instruments played to enhance the experience.
REIKI is meant to bring BALANCE, to resolve emotional distress by allowing healing energy to flow freely throughout the body, which results in relaxation and reduced pain and tension throughout the body. It can also help reduce stress and anxiety, which can decrease pain perception as well.
