I was lying here, actually relaxed for a moment, and I noticed something huge — a subtle mind distortion.
My mind started listing what I had done… as if I needed to justify being here, now.
It was loud.
And very familiar.
That reflex to validate rest.
To make sure it’s “earned.”
And I realized how automatic it is.
How often, when we rest,
we explain it to ourselves first.
But resetting the nervous system doesn’t need to be negotiated.
It isn’t a reward for productivity.
It isn’t something we have to prove we deserve.
It’s an essential part of being alive —
vibrant, healthy, human.
And maybe the deeper shift is this:
Not learning how to relax…
but learning how to stop questioning it.
