I was lying here, actually relaxed for a moment, and I noticed something huge — a subtle mind distortion.

My mind started listing what I had done… as if I needed to justify being here, now.

It was loud.
And very familiar.

That reflex to validate rest.
To make sure it’s “earned.”

And I realized how automatic it is.

How often, when we rest,
we explain it to ourselves first.

But resetting the nervous system doesn’t need to be negotiated.

It isn’t a reward for productivity.
It isn’t something we have to prove we deserve.

It’s an essential part of being alive —
vibrant, healthy, human.

And maybe the deeper shift is this:

Not learning how to relax…
but learning how to stop questioning it.

Resistance isn’t always obvious. Sometimes the body is holding without awareness.

With this client, I started by lifting both legs and immediately felt a heaviness—a subtle resistance. In this case, there was also an impulse to help. The body was participating, but there was no awareness that it was actually holding.

So I changed the approach.

When I lifted just one leg, everything shifted. The body knew what to do, and suddenly it became clear where it had been holding — something that wasn’t accessible before.

This is something I see often. When too much is happening at once, awareness can drop. The system compensates, braces, or even assists, but without conscious recognition. When we simplify — one side, one movement, one sensation — the body can finally feel itself.

And once there is awareness, there is the possibility for release.

This is the work. Not forcing change, but creating the conditions where the body can recognize what it’s been doing all along.

If you watch closely, you can actually see the moment awareness comes online.

For those moments when you’re here… but not really here.

When you’ve been sitting too long…
do eagle arms and add a little dance.

Instant reset.

Powerful words! It’s so true when you see success; you don’t see all that led up to that success. The nights, the sobs, the tears struggle to get to that alignment. It’s not all rainbows and butterflies. It’s a lot of work to get to this place of soothing contentment and wellness, but it’s well worth the work. You are supported. Keep going.

🔥Summer Skin. Grounded Men. Inner Reset.

Corporate Yoga isn’t just about stretching during your lunch break.

It’s about remembering the body—midday, mid-mission.

It’s about showing up in your midsummer tan, a little sun-kissed, a little sweaty—and letting time reset itself through stillness.

We took this photo after class, staring into the mirror,
and it hit me—
All brown. All present. All deeply here.
That quiet coherence was worth capturing.

To every workplace wondering if these moments make a difference…
They absolutely do.
They ripple.
Into your meetings.
Your homes.
Your timelines.

Keep breathing, brothers.
You’re doing sacred work.

The feeling after finishing a yoga practice is unique. You may feel increased mental and physical energy, a boost in alertness and enthusiasm and fewer negative feelings. You may feel connected and close to the people in your class - even ones you've never truly met before. You may feel relaxed and calm in mind but energy and strength through the body.

How do you want to feel after yoga?

Child’s Pose or “Balasana” in Sanskrit

Helps calm the brain, relieves stress, and ease lower back pain. Creates a nice stretch in the hips and thighs. Such a relaxing and meditative pose.
