There is something our world has forgotten... the art of initiating our adults.

Once, there were ways to mark the great threshold of a human life. Ways to be seen as we shed an old skin. Ways to be witnessed as we stepped into a deeper more vital life.

Today, we cross these thresholds alone... unseen, unacknowledge be even ourselves.

Without initiation, change occurs, but often unlived, unclaimed and integrated. The old skins still pull.

But this year of the Fire Horse is calling us into a more embodied way of being. It's not asking gently. It asks for honesty. It asks: "will you live what is calling you or continue to circle it?"

I'm feeling this call and if you are too, come sit by my fire and let us begin.

We have an opening for 8 persons... to step into an initiatory journey rooted in land, ritual and mythic framing that re-orients our psyche and stewards us into what's now ready to be fully lived... embodied.

The sky is not playing around tonight. We have a 7-planet stellium (cluster) in Aries. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron all piled into the first sign of the zodiac at the same time.

This is the first New Moon of the entire astrological year. Zero point energy...Let's plant new seeds of intention and begin again! Tonight we gather at Sol Health Yoga to do exactly that.

The Moon is in her final form, waning crescent in Pisces. This is the most emotionally exposed placement in the lunar cycle.
Translation: whatever you've been avoiding feeling? It's surfacing now whether you like it or not!

Today, Mercury (your mental world) just left Pisces (the realm of feelings) and stepped into Aries (fire and action). The fog is lifting. It's time to stop apologizing for taking up space.
That mental clarity you've been waiting for? It's arriving. But first, this waning crescent is asking you to clear the field, not force the growth.

The new moon plants seeds and that starts with tending the soil. Sit quietly for five minutes. One hand on your heart, one on your belly. Ask yourself: what am I still carrying that isn't mine? Write it down. Naming it is the first act of release.

New Moon, New Cycle, New Season. We have a stellium of planets in Aries right now. That’s a lot of fire in one place. Aries is ruled by Mars, my co-ruler. As a Scorpio, I know this energy well. It can can be bold. It can also be erratic, impulsive, and destructive when it isn’t grounded.
Ungrounded Aries energy burns it all down and calls it transformation. Destructive energy transforms…but why rise from the ashes if you can control the burn?

Forget January. The true reset is TODAY, the Spring (Vernal) Equinox, a balance of light and dark, and the start of the Astrological New Year. Ostara turns the Wheel. This is the Year of the Fire Horse, a rare sixty-year double fire cycle. Three ancient traditions, one day, one fire, all say the same thing: Plant. The. Seed.

The Fire Horse doesn’t ease in, whoa Nelly! Best rein in that energy before you rush out of the gate or risk burning out. This year is about channeling your inner fire with temperance (One of my favorite Tarot cards). Meanwhile, the Goddess Ostara honors Eostre, Goddess of dawn and new life cracking through frozen ground. The universe is not being subtle right now. So here’s your loving cosmic question, what are you carrying into this new cycle that you were supposed to leave in the last one?

Let the past burn. Rise like a phoenix for a new season, a new cycle, a new year. Whatever seeds you want to plant, the business, the boundary, the beginning, the ending...The ground is thawing. Prepare the soil; it's time to plant something good, for we reap what we sow. The rest? You already know what to do. You've known for awhile. It's time to take the reins and get moving!

This New Moon brings a sense of completion and transition, rather than a usual fresh start. Occurring at 29° Pisces, known as the anaretic or critical degree, it marks a turning point as energy prepares to shift into a new astrological cycle.

A planet or lunation at 29° carries urgency and a sense of completion. Everything the sign represents is distilled into one last concentrated moment before the threshold is crossed.

In Pisces, the anaretic degree intensifies themes of surrender, release, and spiritual completion, not just for Pisces but for the entire zodiac cycle, since Pisces is the 12th and final sign. A New Moon here is not just closing out Pisces. It is closing out everything that began when the Aries season started about a year ago.

Themes can show up as:

* A feeling of pressure or urgency around a decision
* The need to integrate a lesson before moving on
* Liminal energy, standing at the threshold between what was and what comes next

As this threshold nears, honor what has passed, as the new astrological new year is upon us in a few days. The message of this moon reminds me of the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote: “Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”

Cosmic Musings...

The day before a New Moon holds a certain stillness. Some people interpret the Dark Moon phase as feeling drained or having a lack of motivation, when it is actually a needed reset point.

The lunar cycle is ending. Just like the final moments before sleep, your system is preparing to restore itself. You may feel reflective, nostalgic, or simply quieter than usual. This is not a problem to fix, it is an invitation pause and to sit with what comes up. We are closing out a major cycle, so honor your energy!

In Pisces, this closing phase can feel emotional or even slightly foggy. Memories surface. Old feelings stir. Something that once felt urgent may begin to lose its grip. Completion does not always look like a dramatic ending or rushing forward for the sake of movement or distance. Sometimes it is simply acknowledging that you have reached the end of a certain mental or emotional chapter.

When the New Moon arrives tomorrow, a new rhythm will begin. For now, the most powerful thing you can do is allow the current one to finish naturally. Feel all the feels, prepare to close the door and when you are ready, begin the process of moving forward. Don't look back, you aren't going that way!
