I call myself a holistic personal trainer versus a holistic yoga teacher because yoga is already a holistic practice.
Personal training implies one-on-one instruction and that’s my favorite way to teach.
As a holistic personal trainer, I combine strength work with yoga (mobility, core and balance), depending on the client’s desires.
There are women who come to me for just strength, and others who come for just yoga, but my teaching style is forever shaped by both.
More importantly, when I’m live with clients, I call my style “chat and move.”
I get them into motions they can understand and build upon, and this frees up enough headspace for us to talk about holistic health while they’re moving (habits, mental health, sleep, emotional health, work, posture, etc.)
All of those chats happen informally, but I prepare our discussions each week, and they are tailored to what I see that that client could use.
In addition, I have stand alone program for nutrition.
I studied behavioral nutrition in 2021, and I offer a 16-week coaching program that covers what to eat, how to stop overeating, and what activities support good nutrition.
I also have a one-on-one spiritual book club called The Existential Year, that I open every winter. We read spiritual books together and discuss them monthly with fun activities.
So, you see, holistic personal training!
My approach is unique, and I think I’m the best at it.
