Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for all you do and for all the impact you enable in the community!

As we each regroup around our Thanksgiving tables, it's important to remember that Food is a basic need that unfortunately many of our neighbors cannot take for granted this holiday season.

Fueled by your generous donations and support as well as a match from Genentech, we are making $57,500 in contributions to six Bay Area organizations supporting food distributions efforts this holiday season: ALAS, Alameda Food Bank, GLIDE, North Marin Community Services, Safe Passages and Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.

Life Science Cares Bay Area is once again bringing together our incredible network of life science companies to make a real difference this holiday season.

Now through December 12, we invite you to join our Virtual Food Drive supporting HealthRIGHT 360, an organization providing essential health and human services to individuals and families across the Bay Area. Our goal is to get 500 food items to the HealthRIGHT 360 community!

Your participation helps ensure that no one in our community goes without the nutrition they need to thrive. Every dollar raised helps stock shelves, fill plates, and strengthen the safety net for our neighbors in need.

Nancy is currently Global Head and Senior Vice President Clinical Development at Altos Labs.

What an unforgettable and energizing evening at the 2025 Impact Festival! ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us; our board members, attendees, sponsors, speakers, nonprofit partners, elected officials, and donors. Your presence, support, and partnership made this event truly extraordinary. None of this would be possible without you.

Throughout the night, we heard powerful stories of impact, resilience, and community leadership from our nonprofit partners and industry champions. We accomplished our goal of showcasing our impact and raising funding to support our mission to fight poverty and expand opportunity across the Bay Area.

Thank you to our incredible Career Day hosts!

We’re so grateful to our partners—Cytokinetics, Ultragenyx, Rondo Therapeutics, and Addition Therapeutics—for welcoming Breakthrough SF students into your offices this summer for a day of exploration, learning, and inspiration.

From strawberry and banana DNA extractions to eye-opening conversations about careers students hadn’t heard of before, your teams helped bring science to life in truly meaningful ways.

Thanks to you, students left more curious, more confident, and more excited about their futures in STEM.

Thank you to the Third Rock Ventures team for partnering with Life Science Cares this fall to support HealthRIGHT 360 and Science from Scientists!

Their team assembled 100 winter hygiene kits with beanies, gloves, neck warmers, and essential hygiene items to help neighbors experiencing homelessness stay warm as the colder months set in. They also assembled 70 engineering lesson kits for students served by Science from Scientists, helping expand access to hands-on STEM learning.

We’re so grateful for Third Rock Ventures’ continued partnership and ongoing commitment to our community and STEM education.
