This month's newsletter is too good - I had to share with everyone! Super simple home brewed kombucha recipe plus 3 health benefits that kombucha provides:

What is kombucha? Fermented beverage made of up black tea + sugar. Contains healthy bacteria and yeast that starts the fermenation process once combined with sugar. After fermentation, kombucha contains probiotics, acid, B vitamins and enzymes.

Continuing to experiment with chia seed pudding! This batch was made with coconut cream, milk, sliced bananas and cinnamon Cinnamon is a great flavor addition and it may help reduce blood sugar and cholesterol levels, too!
(Makes 2 servings):
- 1/3 cup coconut cream
- 3/4 cup of milk (soy, almond, cow)
- 4 tbsp chia seeds
Mix together and let sit overnight in the fridge in a sealed container or jar. Top with banana or any fruit, and add a dash of cinnamon.
Nutrition Info per serving =
250 calories, 15 grams fat, 15 grams carbohydrate, 5 grams sugar, 8 grams fiber

New favorite 15 minute meal: cauliflower fried rice! Cauliflower rice (got mine at Trader Joes!), carrots, asparagus, bell pepper, sugar snap peas, bacon and eggs. Sauté all veggies in grape seed oil over medium high heat in a large pan for about 5-8 minutes.
Move veggies to one side of the pan, then add egg, scramble it, and mix in bacon with veggie mixture. Add soy sauce and enjoy! ***omit bacon for recipe***

"Lazy" chia seed pudding: 11 oz Svelte vanilla protein shake + 5 tbsp chia seeds (makes 2 servings). Mix in glass jar, seal and store in fridge overnight!
