Let’s have a word with the Jewelry Doctor herself, Laynie Tzena:
“So Laynie, what exactly do you do in the jewelry business?”
I thought you’d never ask. I do three things in the jewelry business: I design jewelry, carry jewelry from select vendors, and do restoration--from simple repair to completely re-imagining pieces, depending on your needs. I work with everything from wood and bone to diamonds and rubies and emeralds, and carry everything from sterling silver under $25 to platinum. (Note to Bad Guys: I don't keep any of the above in stock, but order as needed for my customers.) I do all the design, and have a wonderful team that does casting, gem cutting, stone-setting, ring sizing, pearl stringing, and provides appraisal. In addition, I especially love working with porcelain and Venetian (sometimes called Murano) glass, along with gemstones and Swarovski crystal. The collection includes pendants (which double as pins), necklaces, earrings, and bracelets for women, along with cuff links, tuxedo studs, and lots of other great jewelry for the men on your list. (And yes, I have sources for fine watches.)
