Our girl Other Patty Smith has gone out into the evening sky. We were able to hold her as she slipped away to explore other dimensions with her owl eyes and quirky ways. She has generously allowed us to stay on in her home.
We miss her so much.

Gratitude post.

The air quality has been pretty bad in Chico the past week due to fires near by. Skies are grey, the sun in orange and there is ash on everything. It is heart heavy.

This week I did pilates with my friend, colleague and brilliant teacher - her creativity, humor and sequencing made inside life better! (That rad art on the wall is a print by and the decolonizing fitness sticker is from - both of this folks are out there doing deeply good stuff in the world, check them out and support them!)

I also road my bicycle to late 1800s England to solve some mysteries with Holmes and Dear Watson while rising my bike in the kitchen.
(Yes, that cat 🐱 pot holder is the best, it is from ).

And I got a prezzy in the post from one of my students in San Francisco that warmed my bookworm heart. Read books. Go to the library! Use the post office! Do stuff.
