The Mother Birth Birth doula and student midwife Amy’s passion for birth started at a young age when she thought she wanted to be an OB.

Along the path of life, Amy found herself testing the medical field professions to find the right fit. With Emergency Medical Training, Certified Nurse Assistant Training and being the Director of Client Services for a Home Health Agency, these have given Amy the professional skills and knowledge needed to build a successful relationship with her clients‘. After the birth of her first daughter, Amy found herself searching for more proactive ways to better health. This includes research on homeopathy, organic eating and many other natural alternatives to a healthier lifestyle. Her deep rooted passion to help women have their best birth came after the birth of her third daughter. Amy is currently doing her preceptorship with local home birth midwives and is a student at Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery.
