Girls' New Puberty

Girls' New Puberty Girls' New Puberty is an educational campaign to help parents/caregivers keep young girls healthy. Now it's 10%+.

Starting healthy actions before puberty reduces the likelihood of early puberty. Healthy habits during puberty can improve lifelong health and wellness. When 8 year old girls have 13 year old bodies: Just a generation ago less than 5% of all girls started puberty before the age of 8. On average 10% of Caucasian, 15% of Hispanic, and 25% of African American girls begin puberty by age 8. We will use this page to share information on how to support the health and wellness of the young girls you care for as together you navigate this phase of rapid change.
