We were honored to host Rabbi Shmuli Raitman and his son from Chabad of Danville and San Ramon in preparation for Passover. He talked about the symbolism behind the Seder Dinner, the four questions and led us in song with traditional favorites. He also graciously gave us a take home treat from Israel which was so appreciated during this season of gratitude.

For this Women's History Month, we would like to honor and celebrate Viola G., a trailblazer whose life reflects resilience, faith and the transformative power of music. 💕 She has been a San Ramon resident for more than 50 years and the second Black resident to call this East Bay city home. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, in the 1940s, she grew up in a family that valued education. Her mother was among the first African Americans to earn a doctorate in mathematics and inspired all five of her children to pursue learning and opportunity.

Viola always dreamed of a career in music and performance, but discrimination led her to take many paths, each one strengthening her resolve and fueling her artistry. She went on to earn graduate degrees, study music in England, and build a life in California with her husband, Ezekiel. Over time, her kindness, strength, and outspoken spirit earned the respect of her community.

Since Viola has moved to our Belmont Village San Ramon community, she has stepped in to lead the community’s newly formed choral group, bringing residents together through music. Today, Viola continues to seek out new experiences, sharing her gift wherever music is found and leaving a lasting impact through quiet leadership and grace. We are honored to recognize our incredible Belmont Village resident and the many women who have made a lasting impact! 🎶✨

We hosted our very own Academy Awards, where many of our team members walked the red carpet to receive a multitude of well-deserved accolades, including Catch Me Caring, Most Compassionate, Best Trainer, Most Grateful, Team Player,and Setting New Standards. Jared received the prestigious Perfect Attendance Award, Daja won the Belmont Spirit Honor, Cesar was recognized with the Extra Mile Award and Reji was voted Employee of the Year. We also honored our Legacy Team, those who have been with us since we first opened, and enjoyed delicious food as we celebrated this special first annual event.
