Something most people never hear after a pre-diabetes diagnosis:
What's actually causing it.
You get the number. You get the warning. Then you get sent home.
No testing to see if you are diabetic as the HbA1c can be misleading. You maybe already diabetic. Best way to find out, is get a CGM( continious glucose monitor) and check your spikes post meals. It's amazing how many people are already diabetic when they have numbers like 150s, 160s or more. The avergae may loog great on your HbA1c but these spikes are totally missed as the regular labs like HbA1c only gives an avergae.
No one also looks at inflammation markers, gut health, sleep quality, or nutrient status — all of which can directly drive blood sugar dysregulation.
