🎉It was an absolute blast to coach these two FLL Explore teams!

We traveled to the ASU Glendale campus on Saturday to present months of learning (Unearthed theme - archeology!), designing, building, coding and creating presentations to showcase our work.

We are so proud of these 8 young learners who pushed past a little bit of public speaking anxiety to present to two judges, parents, family and friends all on their own! Wize Team Galaxy won a trophy for their Teamwork and Wize Team Stardust won a trophy for their creative cliff-dwelling Lego model.

Congrats to our FLL Explore teams! 💫

Students will learn how to use coordinates & graphing skills, combined with beginning coding techniques they'll learn in our program, to bring their designs to life in the Minecraft Education platform.

We had a blast at our ❄️ Holiday Lego Robotics 🤖 camp! We spent two days building holiday-themed projects, but when our students requested construction equipment & cars, we pivoted on the last day of camp to lean into their interests. As one 7 year old astutely pointed out, "People use cranes and cars over the holidays, too!"

🍎✨ This fall, our QCUSD students have been designing dancing robots and learning about music – partners listen to the beat & speed of 2-3 different songs and collaborate to create and code their robot to dance to the rhythm of their selected music! 🤖 We have been so impressed with the creativity – every robot looked completely different with its own movement style. This is what STEAM learning looks like!

🎅 The holidays are around the corner! Join us for a holiday-themed Robotics & Coding camp and design, build & code robotic tools and equipment for Santa's elves to use at the North Pole. 🎁 We'll be meeting at the Ironwood Crossing community center on Barnes from 9 am - noon, Monday-Wednesday Dec 29-31.

Space is limited - it's ideal for 1st-6th graders (project difficulty will be scaled for beginner or more advanced students) but reach out if you have a child outside that age range that may be a good fit.
