Today, I delivered this floral tribute to Wrens Chapel AME Church on behalf of Washington State Prison (where it all started for me) to honor a faithful servant who stood the line with strength, discipline, and quiet courage.

As a Correctional Officer, you carried a responsibility many will never fully understand. We maintain order in the most challenging spaces. We protect others with little or no recognition. And yet, we show up each day ready to serve faithfully.

My fellow co-worker, your watch has ended, but your service, your sacrifice, and the respect you earned will never be forgotten. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for your integrity. Most of all, thank you for your service.

Take your rest now, for this is the End of Duty.💙🖤
