Important Update from Porter’s Corner
Sanger, Texas 11-19-2025
Because Porter’s Corner is housed at Godwin Ranch, and due to the recent Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) outbreak in parts of Texas, we will be following all safety protocols currently in place at the ranch.
For the next two weeks, no horses will be allowed in or out, and to protect the health of our therapy animals, any horse that leaves during this period will not be permitted to return until the biosecurity hold is lifted.
Our therapy horses and animals are the heart of what we do, and their safety comes first. We will be carefully monitoring each of them, checking temperatures regularly, increasing sanitation, and taking every necessary precaution to keep them healthy and comfortable.
We appreciate your understanding as we work through this time with caution and care. Our priority is,and always will be, the well-being of our precious animals and the people who love them.
We will keep everyone updated as more information becomes available. Thank you for supporting Porter’s Corner.
Please note: Any horse that leaves Godwin Ranch during this two-week closure will not be permitted to return until the biosecurity hold is lifted. This precaution is essential to protect all resident horses and prevent potential exposure to EHV-1.
