Today I got to reconnect with the instructor who taught my very first Craniosacral class. After looking at each other as though we looked familiar, I asked during a break if she’d taught CS1 in Columbus, Ohio back in 1994. She had & told me I looked really familiar, but much too young. She was remembering my mom!

My mom had taken the course to help my late brother, who had undiagnosed autism at that time, and she’d brought me with her to be her demo & to learn so I could help her. Back in those days, you often had to bring a person (aka a demo) with you, especially to the classes where they were teaching lay-people (non healthcare professionals) how to help their family members. At that point, I’d been the “family therapist” for 2yrs already, applying Acupressure & Trigger Point therapies to help both my parents alleviate various pains & recover from injuries. After that course, I assisted my mom while she worked on my brother & it was hands down the most beneficial modality for him.

Despite previously sharing how I was first introduced to Craniosacral Therapy over the years, sharing it today brought tears to my eyes. What a blessing & amazing experience to be learning from my first CST teacher again!

Just got my UVlizer and can’t wait to test it out!

This technology has been around for a while (first discovered in 1785), has been used in water purification processes, and in hospital and lab settings for some time, but gained in popularity with the general public post Covid. It disinfects with UV & without chemicals, which is huge for those with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). I love that it comes with a remote so I can prep the room, close the door, and start the cycle.

It should be noted that plants, pets, and humans should not be in the room while the cycle is running & for 40mins after it completes due to the creation of ozone. Ozone is a gas consisting of 3 oxygen atoms (O3) that works by killing yeast, bacteria, mold, viruses, and other microorganisms in the air, on surfaces, and in water. It also breaks down carbon after fires, kills insects (like those in stored grains, dust mites, etc), and eradicates water-borne parasites.

So excited to use this to improve the office air quality for myself & my clients 🫶🏽

Working on updating my business cards & info sheet for the next batch print. As I searched for the right images, I just had to laugh when I came across this one from 2017. Yep, that's pretty much my posture right now, lol! Even bodyworkers have to sit at the computer, so I'll definitely be doing as I tell my clients when I'm done and "undoing my day!"

Reminder that dogs don’t metabolize coconut, unlike humans 😱

I found this out after my dog was diagnosed with cancer and having multiple consultations for treatments & hearing what the vet would put him through for a typical treatment protocol. With his auto-immune and previous bad reactions/severe allergies to vaccines, chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides, I didn’t feel safe giving him more chemicals for his body to try to metabolize. We’ve since cut coconut from his diet completely, including treats. This wasn’t the only thing we’ve changed, but he has shown improvement over the past 5mos.

The type of cancer he has is called hemangiosarcoma & is a Kidney, Spleen, and blood type, due to it having metastasized. Sharing what I’ve learned to help you keep your dogs safe and not overload their Kidneys or Livers trying to metabolize things they can’t 💗🐾

Wow, wow, wow! Today I had such a fun & amazing session with a first-time client, where I was also teaching a third party 👩🏻‍🏫

I love sharing my knowledge base with others and showing them how to safely touch the body, the science behind how it all works, and why it’s more effective than more aggressive techniques. The more people who learn my methods, the safer other bodies will be in the hands of therapists, coaches, trainers, parents, etc! 💆🏾‍♂️

I truly feel grateful for being called to this work & for all my instructors & mentors who have taught me, and continue teaching me, helping me grow even more as a humanist & therapist 🌺🙏🏽✨
