Dr. VanLin brings a warm, patient-focused approach to eye care at Oculus | Botwin Eye Group. A proud Chinese-Californian, she earned her degree in Psychobiology from UCLA and her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry, where she met her husband, Dr. Jeremy Botwin.

After more than a decade serving patients across Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico, Dr. VanLin continues to provide thoughtful, personalized care— from contact lens fittings to complex ocular disease management.

Outside the office, she loves traveling, staying active, and exploring New Mexico with Dr. Jeremy and their dog, Bowser.

Meet Dr. Mark Botwin, founder of Botwin Eye Group and a cornerstone of Santa Fe eye care.

Educated at the University of Tennessee, University of Miami, and the Southern College of Optometry, he later earned his Optometric Physician degree from Northeastern College of Optometry and is board-certified in Ocular Therapeutics.

He served in the U.S. Public Health Service / Indian Health Service, leading Optometry Services across Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico before founding Botwin Eye Group in 1990 — now run alongside his three children.

Dr. Mark has served two terms on the NM Optometric Association board, contributed to leading eye-care software, and earned national recognition from Davis Vision and Apple.

Beyond optometry, he loves hiking, traveling, photography, and collecting early Navajo/Pueblo textiles.
