I need you to hear this: do NOT DIY your cosmetic treatments. I know it can be tempting to “save a couple hundred bucks,” but this is your face. The risks are rare — but they are very real.

There’s something called vascular occlusion, which is when filler blocks blood flow (either from too much product or injecting into a vessel). That can lead to tissue death. Yes, that means losing part of your lip. Not worth it.

And where is this product coming from? The black market? Legitimate, FDA-approved neurotoxins and fillers are not sold to unlicensed providers. They require a prescription and medical training to administer safely — and more importantly, to recognize and treat complications if they happen.

I’ve seen patients come in with unknown substances — even cement-like material — injected into their faces from unlicensed injectors.

Quit playing with your face. Saving a little money is not worth permanent damage. Your safety should always come first.
