Productivity Tip of the Week: Meetings On The Go 🏃🏽

I’ve been soaking up the final stretch of summer with lots of walking meetings & calls. Something about being out and about in the city gets me SO inspired and it’s when I’ve been having my most creative ideas 💭

I use the app 📲 “Otter” to record these moving meetings (whether they’re with others or myself) and it literally transcribes everything you say into a text file that you can then go through and use as meeting notes. It’s genius!

This is your reminder to get your fresh air and movement to really re-ignite your brain power 🧠🔌

How I Get Into Get Sh*t Done Mode

This week, I had an amazing weekend exploring the city, drinking , and spending time with family. But, this is a very full season for me & , so I knew I wanted to get right back to work.

Here’s the routine I use to get focused & stay focused:

1. Write out a commitment to yourself for the week. Not a goal, but a commitment. You wouldn’t be quick to cancel a commitment to someone else, right? Right 😉

2. Create a general outline for the week including all calls, meetings, and overall daily focuses (for example, I do my best to touch base with my team on Monday & take Wednesday off of calls so I can focus on deep creative work)

3. Put your morning routine on autopilot. This takes some practice, but having a really strong morning routine that is consistent every single day turns your mind on and sends a trigger to start getting ready to focus.

4. Move your body, drink water, eat something, and clear your space in the morning. I’m a firm believer that until you’ve done these four things, your mind will feel distracted by one or all of them! Get them out of the way.

5. Do the task you’re dreading most, first. The hardest but most important step of the process! This gets you into the swing of things and provides major momentum for your day.
