I’m delighted to invite you to a special holiday gathering that I’ll be co-hosting with friends and colleagues Katelynn Belcher, CSA Erika Lee Katie Barron to celebrate the season while raising critical funds for VetConnect—a remarkable local nonprofit serving Sonoma County veterans.

VetConnect is powered by dedicated veteran volunteers who show up every week to help fellow veterans access housing support, mental health services, healthcare, food resources, benefits navigation, community connections, and a renewed sense of purpose. Their work changes lives, and with community support, we can help ensure their programs remain strong and fully funded through 2026.

Our event will include photos with Santa, live music, great food, raffle and auction prizes, and plenty of holiday cheer—all to raise funds for a mission that truly matters.

If you’re able to attend, share the invitation with your activity directors, or contribute a raffle item, your support would mean so much to us and to the veterans who rely on VetConnect.

Honoring Our Veterans Today & Every Day

I’m deeply grateful and truly honored to celebrate our incredible veterans—many of whom have spent the last 20 years volunteering their time to help fellow veterans access essential services like mental health support, housing, food assistance, and medical benefits. Their dedication and quiet strength continue to inspire all of us.

A special heartfelt thank-you to the band Take Your Medicine, which includes two Air Force veterans. Their music filled the room with warmth, joy, and connection—an unforgettable tribute that meant so much to everyone there.

Sonoma County VetConnect is a small but mighty nonprofit built on the power of veterans helping veterans. They provide no-cost support to those who served, ensuring no veteran has to navigate these systems alone.

They meet every Tuesday from 9:00–11:30 AM at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building. If you haven’t been yet, please join us. And if you’re able, please consider donating to support their mission—every contribution truly helps.

We Walked to 💜

Today our Jet’s Memory Care Placement team proudly joined the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! It was a beautiful morning filled with purpose, connection, and familiar faces from across our senior care community.

It was wonderful seeing friends and partners including Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Impact Movement (AIM), MuirWoods Memory Care, AROHA Memory Care, Enso Village, WindChime of Marin, Oakmont Senior Living, PACS Healthcare, Interim Home Care, and the Rotary Club of Sebastopol — as well as amazing people like Darci Allen, Laura Fitzpatrick, Lisa Lomeli, Dr. Rajesh Kalara, Ricci Erfe-Mejia, and Lauren Vreeland-Long. Your commitment inspires so many of us!

From silence to song, Ryan Woodard’s journey is nothing short of remarkable.
Diagnosed with autism at age 3 and nonverbal until 9, Ryan found his authentic voice through music. By 11, he was jamming on stage with blues legend Buddy Guy. Today, at just 18, this Santa Rosa native is a gifted multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and frontman of the Ryan Woodard Band, blending blues, funk, classic rock, and surf.
Ryan’s story has already caught national attention — from viral performances with 10M+ views, to receiving a guitar and personal note from John Mayer himself. 🌍
Now an SRJC student, Ryan is honing his craft in music theory, songwriting, and recording — turning dreams of world tours and Grammys into a future within reach.
