I rarely eat sandwiches, but these two were a rare treat. The first is a salad and sandwich combo at in Larspur, where I have previously only had their amazing hot chocolate and croissants. The second is a Beef sandwich at where you can walk on the docks, sit outside, or inside and watch the game, or simply shop in their well stocked store. They have a deli with food to go as well. Delish!

It was a glorious day on the bay yesterday. Starting with a walk along the waterfront and then a drive to the beach, ending with a phenomenal golden hour sunset. People were all lined up along the coast, a favorite California ritual. (Zoom in on the last image to see people on the hill.)

I enjoyed the Grilled halibut with roasted kohlrabi, with sautéed greens and butterbeans, and a salsa verde. The halibut was flakey and light and was anchored with perfectly tender, sliced potatoes. I paired it with a Pinot Grigio, but the Chardonnay would also work well. Absolutely delicious!

Omg! Where did the summer go?? Hope you had an amazing summer, and just wanted to catch up with you.

Summer rewind: I took a month off in August after Max left, a habit from my years in A’dam. Had a staycation here in the Bay Area, which meant lazy mornings, drives in my Alfa, hikes, swimming & reading by the pool, great food, evenings that felt endless, listening to live music & dancing. That’s my Mom in the last clip! Now you know where I get it from. 😘💃🏻😎
