We choose teak because outdoor pieces should be made to last and still look beautiful doing it. Our swings are crafted from Grade A teak, selected for its natural oil content, strength, and ability to perform outdoors.

Beyond performance, teak brings warmth and character to a space. Its rich golden tone, smooth grain, and timeless feel only get better with age, whether you prefer its original finish or the soft silver patina it develops over time. It is a natural aging process that tells a story.

Teak naturally contains its own oils, helping protect against moisture, rot, and everyday exposure without constant upkeep. Maintain that warmer tone with a simple cleaning and a sealer about once a year, and a cover when not in use to keep it looking its best. It comes down to personal preference.

Skip teak oil.

It is not oil from teak wood. Most are linseed blends that sit on the surface rather than working with the wood.

They can interfere with teak’s natural oils, which are what give it its durability and resistance to water and pests. Instead of helping, they often lead to more upkeep and uneven aging over time.

They can also attract dirt and pollen, and take away from teak’s natural patina, one of the things that makes it so beautiful.
