Snuggles with my girl, clearly still feeling effects of sedation from the vet. Today’s X-rays showed Riley has bilateral hip dysplasia. Even though her symptoms are mild, both hips are severely affected and the left is subluxated. Blerg.

My Dad Fred, a Marine infantryman 1966-1972 retired as a USN Commander after serving 1982-2004 as a Surface Warfare Officer.
My brother Mark, a Marine 1996-2003, finished his tours as a Corporal at the US Embassy in Frankfort Germany. He continues his non-military federal service as part of the Department of State.

Also pictured are my uncle Richard (USAF) and grandfather Hilmar (USN WWII). Not pictured is my grandfather Donald who served in the Army in WWII, Pacific Theater.
