The most prevalent type is non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which includes various subtypes such as adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and large cell carcinoma.

Several factors contribute to lung cancer risk, including:

-Radon Exposure: This naturally occurring radioactive gas can seep into homes from the ground, increasing cancer risk.
-Asbestos Exposure:Used in construction and insulation, asbestos fibers are a known carcinogen.
