📣 Important Policy Updates Effective January 1, 2026
At Advanced Physical Therapy, our mission is to provide every patient with high-quality care, on time, and without interruption. To maintain the efficiency and sustainability of our clinic, the following policy changes will go into effect on 1/1/2026:

1️⃣ Updated Price Sheet
Beginning January 1, 2026, our service rates will be adjusted.
➡️ Please refer to our “2026 Price Sheet” post for full details.
These updates ensure we can continue offering the highest standard of care despite rising operational and insurance-related costs.

2️⃣ Payments for Multiple Date of Services Must Be Made In Advance
Payments AFTER multiple visits are no longer allowed. If you wish to pay for multiple visits you must dop so PRIOR to those visits.
🔹 All payments are due at the time of service.
🔹 If you are unable to pay at check-in, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
This change helps us reduce billing delays, ensure accuracy, and keep patient accounts current so care is not disrupted.

3️⃣ Late Policy Update – 15 Minutes Late = Rescheduled
To respect the time of all patients and keep our schedule running smoothly:
⏰ If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will be rescheduled.
Our therapists schedule one-on-one care, and late arrivals significantly impact both treatment quality and other patients’ appointments. This update keeps our clinic running safely and efficiently.

Why These Updates Matter
These policies are being put in place to:
✔ Maintain fairness and consistency for all patients
✔ Protect appointment availability
✔ Support accurate, timely billing
✔ Ensure our therapists can deliver the best care without avoidable delays
✔ Keep our clinic operating smoothly as demand for services continues to grow

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement these updates. These changes allow us to continue offering the quality care you expect—and deserve—from Advanced Physical Therapy.
If you have any questions regarding the new policies, please reach out to our front desk team at 256-999-0565.
Thank you for being a valued part of our APT community. 💙

December Focus is still Total Knee Replacement!
🦵 Total Knee Replacement: At-Home Tips & Tricks for a Strong Recovery 🦵

Recovering from a total knee replacement doesn’t stop when you leave the clinic! What you do at home plays a huge role in your progress. Here are some simple tips to help your recovery and get the most out of physical therapy:

✔️ Move Often (But Safely)
Short, frequent walks around your home help reduce stiffness and improve circulation. Avoid long periods of sitting.

✔️ Stay Consistent with Your Home Exercises
Your prescribed exercises are key to improving strength, motion, and function. A little every day goes a long way!

✔️ Work on Knee Motion Daily
Both bending and straightening your knee are critical early on. Gentle, frequent motion helps prevent stiffness.

✔️ Ice, Elevate, Repeat ❄️
Swelling is normal after surgery. Ice your knee and elevate it above heart level to help manage pain and swelling—especially after therapy or exercise.

✔️ Use Your Assistive Device Correctly
Whether it’s a walker or cane, use it as directed to protect your new knee and promote proper walking mechanics.

✔️ Watch Your Posture When Sitting
Avoid sitting in low or soft chairs. Choose firm surfaces and keep your knee as straight as possible when resting.

✔️ Prioritize Sleep & Nutrition
Your body heals while you rest. Adequate sleep, hydration, and balanced meals support recovery and tissue healing.

✔️ Listen to Your Body (But Don’t Avoid Movement)
Some soreness is normal—but sharp pain is not. Communicate with your physical therapist if something doesn’t feel right.

💪 Physical therapy is essential to regaining strength, mobility, and confidence after a knee replacement. Staying consistent at home helps you reach your goals faster and return to the activities you love!

📞 Have questions or need guidance? We’re here to help every step of the way!
