Blood deficiency is one of the most overlooked patterns I see—
especially in patients doing everything “right.”
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we don’t just treat symptoms—we assess substance.
Blood is responsible for nourishing the body, supporting hormones, and anchoring the mind.
It’s built through: nutrition + digestion + absorption
When that process is compromised, the system becomes:
• fatigued
• anxious or ungrounded
• dry (skin, hair, cycles)
This often shows up as:
• dizziness
• poor focus
• insomnia
• light or missing periods
Here’s where I see a pattern clinically:
Many patients relying on plant-based diets or low protein intake are missing key nutrients—especially B12, iron, and amino acids—needed to actually build Blood.
This connects directly to things like Vitamin B12 deficiency, which can present as fatigue, brain fog, and nervous system symptoms.
The question isn’t just what you’re eating—
but whether your body has the raw materials to create nourishment.
You can’t build physiology from depletion.
