Today starts the 5th week of chemo and my body is doing well. 🙌🏼 We posted an update on GoFundMe. If you are wondering how I’m doing, give any amount and you’ll get the weekly update emailed to you.

All my sisters have visited us in Scottsdale. 💕

In 2016, Rebecca Jones and I did a 1 year school of ministry. We studied the Bible, did outreach to strangers, and served weekly at our local churches. It was a 6 days a week program for 5 hours a day. We started this journey with a backpacking trip.

Robert and I continue to have the joy of Jesus no matter where He sends us. Right now we are in Scottsdale for the summer. I’m here to be but we just can’t help loving people and helping where we can.

When you’ve been forgiven for much, you love much. I just want everyone to believe in Jesus and experience this supernatural joy.

Robert paid our last fundraiser money today. Im cover for another week here. We paid $17k for the blood work, our GoFundMe covered 2 weeks and the private donations through the belevence fund make 3 weeks covered.

We paid for the port surgery and PET out of faith that the 14 weeks here would be covered.

This week I’ve had some chats. Why was it pause under $20k so long? Then it jumped it $25k in the GoFundMe.

Robert had the thought maybe the money isn’t there because that means you get healed early and they send us home. Another friend who has been frustrated she can’t just pay for it all right now didn’t know and shared the same thing.

The doctor said he’d let us know if 14 weeks he project is wrong and it’s less time here.

Idk but Robert was right. 🕊️ That took faith to come out here with out all the money for the 14 weeks. It’s actually closer to $14k a week plus another $15k to have the monthly proceeder. So the GoFundMe we projected to much under. It’s closer to $200k to raise to be out here at Envita for the 14 weeks.

I’m grateful to be here. I’m grateful for this hybrid approach. I feel so taken care of. I’m grateful to be feeling so good. My prayer of no symptoms is being heard.

The past 2 days have been a bit. I picked a Netflix Chick Flick. But there was lots of past stuff. Death, divorce, and health issues impacting your career and identity.

Yep a harmless romantic movie.

But it pushed me be ready to process this sadness and grief. Like I did with my mom. I did a 90 day grief secular devo and took 30 minutes a day for my emotional health.

I was gifted a chemo gift box and a book. A lot of the stuff I was like I don’t need this but I’ll take it just in case. Just because I’m getting 3 chemos at 10% you can still get all the same side effects and need to flush the toilet 2x and not tough the daily oral one with my fingers so I also don’t spread the chemo to Robert or anyone in the home.

So yep I’m ready to process Old Liz is gone and new Liz is different. This book is so good and I’m grateful again God knew a head of time what I needed. This book and chemo package. Chemo is cumulative and I’m continuing to pray for no symptoms.

I never thought my husband would be my caregiver. I started my vulnerability journey when I was in the hospital. He was there was a supportive husband every day sitting by my side.

He took work calls and built our business.

He’s lost lots of weight. Got healthier alongside me and today he has a workout with his new trainer.

I’m so proud of him.

Now that we are home he takes me to all my appointments and makes sure I have everything I need.

Robert has been a great caregiver!

I’m grateful for him today and tomorrow on

Scottsdale is next.
