Don’t feel apologetic.
Don’t keep it to yourself.
Share it.

Share your heart.
Share your thoughts.
Share.

And friends…

Listen.
Listen to learn.
Listen to care.
Listen.

It’s a story of truth, and pain, and sorrow. It is grief lived out. And we all can do better at embracing it’s truth and finding it’s beauty.

Your cleaners may be making you sick or moody. Have you ever thought about that? Like headaches, anxiety, mood swings, hormone health.

An active chemical in toilet bowl cleaner is hydrochloric acid, or HCl. This chemical is corrosive to the skin and toxic if ingested. It causes eye irritation, kidney damage and irritation to your respiratory tract if inhaled. Um, what?

I want to start giving you guys some simple and easy way to swap out the harsh chemicals in your cleaning closet for some kinder options. These things REALLY do make a big difference. Every small decision leads to a bigger change. So just find one place to start today.

Can you tell me….

When you are in a winter season, the cold has set in, the valley…

What is it that helps you to see beyond the hard season? Do you have something that you cling to hope.

Do you have a certain lens you look through?

What resources help you?

Heavy grief + stress often leads to hair loss. I didn’t know this was a thing. Did you? I’ve become aware the wave of yuck spreading leads to hair loss in most as well- so if you know anyone needing a little help with this tag them below.

I know I posted this in reel form but thought I would give you a carousel of these hair loss scalp serum images so it would be one step easier for you to create your own.

See recipe on last frame.

Anyone else looking towards the start of the new year with some serious detox for the mind + body?

Well, there is no better place to start than with communication through conflict.

Healthy relationships are a critical component of overall health. There are all kinds of studies around the negative impact a toxic thought life has on our different body systems.

Making the art of apology a regular practice can extend years to your quality of life.

Unsure of where to begin? Harvard suggests starting here: “When trying to resolve a conflict, try using cognitive empathy rather than emotional empathy to resolve the conflict. This means that you reflect on what they are saying, and then neutrally paraphrase what they are saying or intending. Paraphrasing can actually decrease their anger and reactivity. It’s a form of cognitive empathy, indicating that you are able to walk in their shoes..”

Have any unresolved conflict out there with someone? Put yourself in their shoes, hear them, and try walking through the steps posted.

I know not every step of this will be easy for me. What part seems like it will be the most awkward/challenging for you?

So good. What if we were all really great at this?

This. ❤️
Make this your gift to all this Christmas.

The gift of a smile for no reason.
The gift of “I see you.” To complete strangers.

The gift of “It’s okay, I care about you.” to the beyond cranky you come in contact with.

The gift of quicker love and grace.

The gift of slower responses to the frustrated.

The gift of real honest love.
The kind that is earned.

The kind Jesus came to wrap us up in.

So, how many times a day does your stress alarm go off irrationally? Do you get startled at the slightest thing?

Grief has an array of effects on our body but a very common one is an overactive fight or flight response. I know this is still an active problem for me.

Acute stress unresolved can quickly become chronic stress. It’s important to learn some calming and restorative techniques that help you deal with it as it hits.

•Deep breathing techniques
•a form of exercise
•dancing
•deep humming for a few minutes
•EMDR tapping
•breathe deeply using an inhaler with 5 drops peppermint, 3 drops Frankincense, and 5 drops Bergamot. These specific oils calm the mind and body, refresh and open airways.
•Frankincense one drip under tongue and one drop spine at the back of neck at hairline.

Have you tried any of these or something else? I’d love to hear what works for you.

✔️sure enough
✔️100% yes

Oh my.
But take heart, it all begins with recognition.

Once you identify you can begin taking baby steps towards feeling stronger, more present.

So cheers, to finding what isn’t working well and new things to try and help.

Thank you for these gems!

Detoxing in grief matters a whole lot. Finding the ingredients that are sludge to your system and slowing you down can make a big difference in your journey forward.

Also, healthy fats help tremendously with brain and body function.

Remember when I posted about canola oil the other day? Let’s add these to our list of things to purge and things to add.

Little daily changes matter.

1. You are showing yourself you care about your future.
2. You are helping your body to feel and work better.

Thank you for your wealth of wisdom in functional medicine.
