Teachings of Prahlada Maharaja
(From Nrisimha–Prahlada Katha)

1. Begin bhakti from childhood
Start spiritual life early—Prahlada taught that bhagavata-dharma should begin from a young age.
2. Hear hari-katha
Hearing about the Lord nourishes the soul—even Prahlada received spiritual strength in the womb by hearing from Narada Rishi.
3. Seek sadhu and guru
By serving guru and staying in saintly association, the heart awakens in devotion.
4. Practice the nine processes of bhakti
Hear, chant, remember, serve the Lord’s feet, worship, pray, serve, befriend Him, and fully surrender.
5. See the Lord everywhere
Prahlada fearlessly declared that the Lord is present everywhere—even in a pillar.
6. Pray for the welfare of all
Prahlada asked for no personal reward—only mercy for his father and all living beings.

It is described that whatever auspicious activity is begun on this day—especially remembrance of Bhagavān, kīrtana, charity, and devotional service—becomes akṣaya, yielding lasting spiritual benefit that is never lost or destroyed.

Our Śrīla Gurudev, Bhaktivedanta Vana Goswami Maharaja, holding the newly acquired Sudarśana Chakra for our Seattle temple in the University District.
This sacred chakra was purchased just outside the Jagannath Temple in Jagannath Puri, a place filled with the mercy and presence of Lord Jagannath. Seeing Gurudev personally hold and bless it feels very auspicious, and we pray that it will bring protection, purification, and divine energy to our temple and all who come to take shelter there.

Friday- Special Friday Night Kirtan in glorification of the Appearance Day Festival of our Dear Gurudeva, Srila Bhaktivedanta Vana Goswami Maharaja
(Morning program 9:00am & Evening Program 6:30pm)

Saturday- Nama Hatta Program at the home of Radha Raman Prabhu in Lynwood with Sripad BV Ashram Maharaj (4-7pm)
