I randomly followed and supported from a local summer q***r artist market. Like, if a market I'm involved with has a whole list of artists/makers ...I follow the whole list. It's been my mission to support and help fellow artists and creatives MAKE IT in this sick greedy world where art is shamed and looked down on as something for the poor and not a "REAL" job. Usually I get some follow backs but usually I don't 🥹. We never met in person for awhile but somehow I was aggressively supporting and sharing her events in my stories. I went to attend one of her artist receptions at Centro Cultural Mexicano in Redmond. It was packed and amazing. I had commissioned some sticker designs from her for my shop (rolling out soon in Jan 2026). We haven't really sat down to talk with each other in person until yesterday! To have space and share a conversation about our struggles and dreams was such a magical day! We both love to share vulnerable and authentic posts on our IGs so having like-minded souls just having an organic exchange and reciprocation of thoughts and ideas was so motivating and inspiring. This Mercury Retrograde season has been very blessed so far! Please support and her work!

Some businesses just exist with the intention to exploit and gain profit but we are not the same. Our customers sometimes end up becoming lifelong friends. My parents were suppose to retire last year as I take over the business full-time but the challenges of raising a neurodivergent toddler has changed those plans entirely. I can only come out to the shop only 1-2 days out of the week. The shop is currently a mix of both my crystal customers AND my parents' customers. It's going to be a unique mix for a while and that's okay. Oh and with the crappy state of politics that we are in, this shop is undoubtedly pro human rights and we actively invest back into the small business community and our customer base. If you haven't tried Ethiopian food yet, you are missing out! Our dearest customer, BB, is the owner of one of Seattle's oldest Ethiopian restaurants in the Central District! There's just some things that can't be replicated like the life experiences, connections, soul and vision of an artist.

Mercury is in retrograde through dramatic Leo. Fun fact: Me & Paulo Coelho's natal Mercury is in Leo! So much of Paulo Coelho's writing speaks from the wisdom of his heart, self-discoveries and spiritual journeys. I communicate from the heart with absolutely no filter 😂. Retrogrades are the perfect time to reflect inward. It's a time to slow down and do an internal review. Leo , the natural ruler of our heart....invites us to reflect on not only the current physical state of our hearts but also the emotional and creative aspects of it. Are you living out and doing what your heart desires? Where are you not shining in life? When all the drama, dance, theater and shows are done, do you truly love the reflection in the mirror when the masks are off and the curtains are closed? Are you fully expressing and communicating through your authentic self?

So much of our culture and society conditioned us to think that our value and treasures are outside of us. Capitalism exasperates these narratives so that we're disconnected from ourselves and connecting our self worth through money and possessions. How awful is that?

Without Leo in the zodiac, our hearts would be empty and there would be no art in this world. Mercury in Leo asks "What makes your heart full?" and "How will you express the treasure in your heart to the world?"

This beautiful Himalayan quartz cluster is available at the shop. I need like a dozen of these to cleanse away all the awful things I'm hearing from the news. Families being ripped apart and deported? Medicaid getting taken away from people who actually need it!? Not enough quartz can disconnect me from such a reality! Praying to make it through the next 3.5 years 💀😭
