We took a trip over to Fort Casey. It is a childhood favorite haunt of mine. The fort was built in the 1800's and was reactivated during WW2. The Tower Card can be an indication of war and the chaos it can bring. It can also be a simple purging. War may represent it's lowest representation. Its highest representation would be The Divine purging impurity and wrong doing hence the traditional image of a Blasted Tower. This being The Thoth deck its a little more complicated.....Lady Frieda Harris and Mr. Crowley put alot in there didn't they? Note the Dove of peace near the eye of God image. What surely looks like an entrance to a place of fire below it. Oh and the literal flaming mouth at the lower right. The Dove says to me-Even among chaos and disaster personal redemption can be found. Whether it is actual war or just people being nasty to each other this card denotes trouble and a reckoning of sorts. If it shows up in your reading it may be a time to reorder your life and decide what is what and who needs to get a what for in the bargain.

The Chariot card....for all the implications of travel that a chariot brings the movement here is in the disk at the center not the spoked wheels. Balance seeking the light in the darkness, taking care of one's health are all implied. The canopy of blue also shows that the chariot is not a vehicle in the traditional sense. As i have traveled with the Thoth tarot and photographed it I have become even more appreciative of Lady Frieda Harris's talents.
