We’re excited to announce a new funding opportunity for food assistance providers in King County.

As demand for food support continues to grow, HealthierHere is offering grants ranging from $25,000 to $200,000 to help organizations purchase and distribute food. Eligible applicants include food banks, food pantries, mutual aid groups, and community food programs that distribute at least 250,000+ pounds of food annually.

Key Dates

✅ Proposals Due: December 8, 2025
✅ Partners Selected: December 15, 2025
✅ Funds Awarded: December 17, 2025

A second funding round will open in 2026.

Meet our first cohort of Community Hub Case Management Partners! HealthierHere is supporting partner organizations from across King County to build capacity and expand their case management skills to better serve their communities.

The HealthierHere Community Hub offers a no-wrong-door approach, providing individuals and families with culturally and linguistically responsive care coordination. Community health workers from our partners serve as trusted guides for clients, helping them navigate systems and connect to the resources they want and need to thrive.

Today, National Public Health Week explores climate change and its effect on public health.

With rising temperatures, atypical weather patterns, and changing landscapes, climate change inevitably becomes a public health threat. It is critical for local health departments to incorporate learnings on climate change’s public health impact to provide better whole person care for their communities.

National Public Health Week is here, and Civic Engagement is at the forefront of the first theme.

The Community Health Worker Access Act (S. 3892) was recently proposed to Congress. This bill seeks to enhance access to healthcare services for enrollees of Medicare and Medicaid by improving reimbursement for Community Health Worker provided services under Medicare and integrating them into Medicaid.
