Before: This bathroom in Kirkland had mold on the ceiling and walls, old cracked tiles, and poor ventilation causing high humidity.

After: We applied DuetRight microcement in blue color, creating a seamless, waterproof surface on floors, walls, and ceiling.

✅ What we did:
• Replaced rotten boards and fixed drywall seams
• Installed a new high-performance exhaust fan, properly vented outside
• Sealed window gaps with foam to stop moisture pe*******on
• Waterproofed the shower pan and floor with multiple protective layers
• Installed new fixtures: wall-hung toilet, vanity with sink, shower door, mirror
• Added humidity and temperature sensors to monitor conditions
• Cleaned and prepared the space for marketing photo and video shoots

Why is there black mold in your bathroom? 🤯

Black mold loves warm, damp places — and bathrooms are the perfect environment if moisture lingers too long!
Common reasons include:
• Poor ventilation: No exhaust fan, window always closed, or door shut during & after showers.
• Persistent humidity: Water doesn’t dry out, especially after hot showers or baths.
• Leaks: Even a tiny drip under the sink, behind the toilet, or in the tiles provides the constant moisture mold loves.
• Wet towels & bath mats: If they stay damp, they become a hotspot for spores.
• Cracked grout or old caulk: Water seeps in and mold finds a new home.

How to fight back?
• Always vent your bathroom after showering (fan on, windows or doors open where possible).
• Wipe down wet surfaces and hang towels to dry right away.
• Fix leaks as soon as you notice them.
• Wash mats and shower curtains regularly.
• Replace cracked caulk or grout before water has a chance to soak in.

Ever heard of a microcement bathroom?

Well this modern, minimal style is blowing up because it creates a stunning, low-maintenance surface (no grout lines to scrub!) and is a sustainable way to renovate. Since it binds to most surfaces and can go right over your tile, there's practically no demolition needed!
