Originally formed in 2011 as an event promotion company, National Seat Filling has since expanded to include music industry consultation and artist booking. NSF founder Mackenzie McAninch has over 17 years of experience in the music industry having been a venue talent buyer, artist manager, artist booking agent, event planner, fundraising coordinator, music writer and editor, radio DJ, promoter, social media marketer and photographer. NSF is proud to represent Stephanie Anne Johnson and her band The Hidogs, acting as their current booking agent. Before we get into the details, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST if you think it will be beneficial to someone you know in the music industry!!

I'm very excited to announce a new service available for musicians, managers and booking agents! How would you like to own a custom built list of music festivals from my personal database that I currently use myself? And how about for the low cost of just 50 cents per festival?

Yes if you're on a budget, I completely understand but can still help. I have an ever-growing database of over 350 music festivals to share, with 200 of them being on the West Coast. You tell us which States you would like festivals for. People have said to me for years "I'd love to have that list!" So I'm offering up this opportunity now!

Each customized festival spreadsheet list will have the name of the festival, city and state they are in, the month the festival occurs, the month you should look into applying, an active website link, and sometimes a contact and notes about the festival. Also included will be tips on how to contact a music talent buyer for a music festival.

*Please know that many of these festivals are best fit for the genres of folk/americana, blues or rock music. However we still might have festivals in our database that will work for music acts outside of those genres.

During my last consulting session, I did an entire project analysis for the client. I was also able to introduce him to a radio DJ for possible airplane and a couple of Music Festival talent buyers.

I'm currently accepting new consulting clients in these are one-time sessions that last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the needs of the client. Also, these sessions can be done over Zoom so this is not just limited to Seattle based artists!

Yesterday I met with a new client, a PNW musician. I gave him advice for 90 minutes and answered all of his questions.

Today I connected him to a radio DJ who already responded and is interested in his music, plus I shared a list of festivals to reach out to among several other resources he requested.

If you know any musicians (or folks who want to become music managers or booking agents) that could use consulting sessions like this, send them my way! They are one-off sessions, can be done over Zoom, are catered only to what the client has questions about, and affordable!
