Living our Mission!

During November and December, students in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences hosted a campus-wide food drive to help address food insecurity during the holiday season. Their collective efforts resulted in more than 700 canned, shelf-stable and household/hygiene items—about 550 pounds of donations—supporting our long-time partners, North Helpline and Byrd Barr Place.

This effort was made possible by the generosity of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members who donated, volunteered, shared information and helped spread the word. Thank you!

Seattle University’s Kinesiology Mobile Lab partnered with SU Recreation (UREC) and the Exercise Is Medicine Club to provide free body composition and strength testing for SU students, faculty and staff at the Redhawk Center. Participants received InBody scans, jump-height measurements, and grip-strength assessments in a supportive, body-neutral environment.

Thank you to our Kinesiology colleagues, UREC trainers and student leaders, for supporting this hands-on wellbeing initiative.

Transform Health Care for a Just and Humane World

Seattle University College of Nursing is dedicated to preparing values-based, compassionate professionals who will serve the health care needs of our community, especially the frail, vulnerable and under-served. We embrace the Jesuit tradition of developing the whole person and focus on the connections between the practical, academic, spiritual, and humane needs of people. Since its establishment in 1935, the college has graduated nurses and nurse leaders who are held in high regard by their communities, employers and professional colleagues. Our graduates live our vision of movement toward service and creating a more just, humane world.
