Chef Kristi Brown has spent over three decades in the culinary industry, starting at a cafΓ© in downtown Seattle. After graduating from Seattle Culinary Academy, she founded βThat Brown Girl Cooksβ Catering in the mid-1990s, gaining popularity for her unique culinary style and exceptional service, especially her famous hummus. Her mantra, "Everybody Gotta Eat," led her to co-found a community kitchen, earning widespread recognition. βCommunion R&B,β a culinary venture by Chef Kristi and her son Damon Bomar, opened its doors in Seattle's Central District. The restaurant, which has been praised by Conde Nast Traveler and The New York Times, is a testament to Chef Kristi's innovative approach to cooking.
